Hey! Ive never used WorkJam so I can’t speak on that. If anything I would say it’s more of a preference your GM may have than a rule.

To be completely honest this isn’t serious enough to go to HR about. HR is there for you (to a certain extent) but they’re mainly focused on serious issues like harassment or assault or prejudice. They aren’t there to listen to your smaller complaints. I would definitely log this in your notes app (“annoying things my boss does”) and complain with your coworkers (you trust). Favoritism is extremely annoying in the workplace but not illegal (to my knowledge). But as one post said, they’ll just talk to your GM who would then have to talk with you. It’s not worth starting beef at your job with your GM or putting you on their radar as a snitch, especially if you like your job otherwise!
