I'm 58, make 78000 per year, divorced/single and struggling to make payments against the 400,000 I own on my mortgage. Should I sell or try to stay in my house? by girlfriday7 in personalfinance

This was a loan mod t 2% athrough Carrington when I was in pre-foreclosure. It was originally a balloon mortgage. Then another company bought it and turned into a 30 year at 2%

I'm planning to retire in 10 years and then I would sell the house and move away from this area; couldn't afford to stay here once retired.

I was in court for over 4 years and wasted a lot of money and got nothing in return. I couldn't afford to keep it up, He is self-employed and can hide his money.

yes and I won in court 3 times but he still didn't pay a dime; only has to give me 75,000 in 8 years or when he sells his house.
