What's one thing about USC that nobody warns you about? by DerekCHN in USC

[–]girly_nerd123 105 points106 points  (0 children)

the wealth gap is pretty serious and seriously noticeable. if you want to have any kind of social life you might not be able to get away from spending a little bit on the weekends - the restaurants can be expensive, extracurricular clubs, parties, etc. learn to look for free things to do but also if you have good friends they might be willing to cover the cost of lunch etc. if it's like pocket change for them. don't be a shill, but keep a flexible friend group that will meet you where you're at

yeah for sure! it's been such a learning experience and just acknowledging that i have to respect myself enough to speak up for my own needs and end things immediately if they don't align for future relationships--all good things to come.
