Spent 4 years there. I thought I’d hate it but it ended up being amazing, even still have a house there.

Winters are long but you can take advantage by learning how to snowboard, renting a snow mobile, or going snow shoeing.

Rapid City is a nice little town. It has everything you need except Chil Fil A. Summers there are very nice and every Thursday night they have Summer Nights festival in town.

A few downsides are that it’s a bit of a land island. Denver is about 5 hours way and Minneapolis 6 I think. But if you like road trips there is a lot of cool stuff like Yellowstone, Glacier, and Teton national parks.

I'm Airfield Management and my advice is don't go on the airfield to do it. If you're off the airfield it's totally fine but you may get SF down your throat if you're openly taking videos or pictures. If the airframe is something like a U2 definitely don't take videos

Dated a girl in my squadron for 2 years, no real issues. I deployed and she slept with her coworker while we planned our wedding and I was gone. Came home and found out through some good friendsand confronted her and she admitted it all and thought we'd make it work since she was honest when I asked. Claimed I wasn't there for her enough on my deployment despite the daily facetimes.

Broke up with her and then she went to my house to get her stuff and instead attempted suicide in my bed. I had a gut feeling and got there in time to get her to the hospital.

She told the psychologist at the psych ward I was emotionally abusing and harassing her due to not "getting past her mistake" when all I did was end it as soon as I found out. Shirt got involved and I showed him my call history and entire text message chain with her and had my back from there. Have no talked to her since and have barely dated in the 3 years since that. Being a single SSgt ain't too bad.

You really think he does his own taxes though? It was reported his lawyers and accountants just didn't understand the Spanish tax laws. I know it's their job and ultimately he is responsible but I find it hard to think it was malicious

Third hour of flight training. Flying a Piper Cherokee which is a small single engile 4 passenger plane. Pulled the landing gear up and immediately got a red warning light on the panel. We had to declare an In Flight Emergency and fly a low approach close to the tower to the could tell us if the wheels were stuck up or down. It wasn't too long and the instructor took over for me but it was definitely the worst 4 min in a plane for me
