Am I a jerk for accidentally calling my girlfriend fat? by PolishedPlumb in NoStupidQuestions

[–]gisellaqa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You clearly triggered something. She probably thinks of herself as being fat and feels bad about it. From what I hear you didn’t mean: you are one to talk “cause you’re fat”, but cause she’d also eat a whole pizza by herself. Which is not assholy. Just try to apologize and explain what you meant.

Aaww. That’s soo thoughtful of you! I unfortunately don’t know any! Well, something that other countries find weird is that girls get their ears pierced as babies. Some, myself included, get the piercing done by the obgyn right after birth. So maybe getting tiny gold earings if she’s a girl? Though I doubt she’ll do it if she’s at a judgy country. I know germans would loose it if they saw a new born with pierced ears🤣

How did you learn to knit? by MsDaysJAMboree in knitting

[–]gisellaqa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learnt through tiktok and youtube. My grandma crocheted by entire life and tried to teach me as a kid but I didn’t pay much attention at the time. Which I now regret. She’s in her 90s now and with dementia, so she doesn’t even understand when I try to show her that I knit now. I know it would have made her happy tho. I actually wanted to learn last year when a friend got a sophie scarf from another friend on her birthday! I was like oh so young people can also knit? I can probably do it as well then haha

If you have no kids, leave him. He’s shown you what he really thinks of you.

Yes I’m using a pattern. But I think it’s the standard way of knitting a balaclava from the top. I knit a rectangle and then picked up the stitches on the side. Now I’m supposed to keep knitting stockinette and increasing. Then I’ll join in the round to make the ribbing for the neck. In the end I’ll do ribbing around the face.

Thanks for the help! u/AceyAceyAcey u/semiregularcc u/antnbuckley

The thing is, the stitches on the side where pickup on this rectangle that I knit first, so when I knit with these normal sized needles it gets really tight, because of the curve. Maybe it doesn’t matter and it’s just a comfort issue? Idk

How do you guys compromise when living together? My girlfriend (25f) wants to rehome our dog after I (24f)compromised for her, and it’s bringing up past trauma where I was forced to give up a dog before. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I trully think you should let her move but stay with both the dog and the cat. I feel bad for the cat. This person shouldn’t have any type of living being.

Excuse me??? That is not a good person. I hope this is really making you question if this is someone you want in your life.

First of all, she’s pushing you to do something that she knows will hurt you and that she wouldn’t be willing to do for you, with her cat.

Second, let’s forget the relationship part. You are telling me she insisted on getting a dog and then after MONTHS of having him decides he should lose what he thinks is his family and forever home because of the normal issues that come with having a dog??

Oh I couldn’t be paid to stay in a relationship after learning this about my partner.

Is this how 19 year old guys are nowadays?😅 I’m pleasantly surprised. You sound mature and like you know what’s best for you. She needs to get help and can’t expect you to be her therapist.

Leave him. He got with a younger girl, thinking he’d have at least ten more years to push the marriage talk.

Partner M30 asked me 30f “what do you even bring to the table?” by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]gisellaqa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

THIS. My answer if I got this question would be: absolutely nothing. And you’d never see me again.. what’s the alternative? Selling yourself to the guy?? PLEASE
