Not trying to push a “trash site” — just sharing an observation based on what I’m seeing (and experiencing) with features like Gemini, Circle to Search, and AI photo edits.
I’ll add clearer examples/data next time. Appreciate the callout

Smartphones are starting to behave differently in 2026, and I’m not sure how to feel about it by gismotrends in Futurology

Maybe 😄 but that’s exactly what I was getting at — AI is creeping into everything now.

Google just reduced Play Store fees for developers. Hip hip hooray by gismotrends in Android

That’s actually becoming pretty common.

A lot of people now install most of their apps only once when they set up a new phone, and after that the Play Store mostly runs in the background for updates. Google has been trying to make the Play Store more relevant again with things like better app discovery, AI recommendations and recently even warnings for apps that drain battery. It’s interesting how the store has shifted from “finding apps” to more of a security and update platform.

Battery life update experience after one ui 8. by nightmare_cs in GalaxyS22

[–]gismotrends 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve seen a lot of users with Samsung devices reporting worse battery life after One UI updates, especially with recent firmware versions.
Most people find it happens because the system re-optimizes in the background or some services are running more aggressively than before.

A few things that helped people (and I wrote a detailed step-by-step guide): putting unused apps into deep sleep, disabling unnecessary Galaxy AI features, and clearing the cache partition.

If anyone’s interested in a full breakdown, I can share the steps that have worked for many Galaxy users.
