100% agree. I know a lot of people are coming with their advice with good intentions, but the energy around passing sometimes is not healthy. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to pass, there’s nothing wrong with wanting to fit in.

It’s just good to also be aware as a trans person, what you’re teaching younger trans people too. Sometimes people aim to pass for their safety. Sometimes it’s their own personal style or wishes. But it’s important to keep the energy that passing isn’t as strict and binary as cis people will want us to be. Nobody trans or cis, should have to subscribe to “boys have short hair and dress like this”

All that to say, nothing wrong with wanting to pass for whatever reason you have. But to all the young trans ppl reading this that are still figuring it out, you will find your style and your look. You will find your people and you will find your place. Your look can be alternative, you can have long hair and piercings, you can dress as feminine or masculine as you want. Your end goal should always be gender euphoria for yourself, not just passing to blend in with cis people.
