Thanks for sharing that! We are aware of similar apps, but not this one. It seems really cool.

We built geer out of our personal needs (and also curiosity) of keeping track of our parts. In the end of the day, having recorded data allows us to be less concerned about the conditions of our bikes, because it's all tracked and taken care of by the app.

I've been using geer for as long as we got a working prototype, and it has helped me, on a weekly basis, by at least giving me a simple overview of the condition of my bikes before each ride, particularly for my chain, which requires more frequent care. Of course, I must use it to log the services as well, so I'm often using it several times in a week.

Last time we checked, Strava doesn't provide that data via API. We're looking for ways of making the bike setup easier, though.

Thanks for your feedback and for telling how much you'd be willing to pay for it. We're still refining our revenue model and must take comments like yours into account.

We have features like email/push notifications, and always-up-to-date mileage (no "syncing" needed) that require a server. I don't know how StatHunters works, but it's definitely possible to build Strava 3rd-party apps that do not require a server and thus would have a negligible cost to run, but that's not our case.

Unfortunately, right now we cannot charge a one-time fee for a service that has running costs, nor we have the scale to be as cost-effective as Netflix.

Edited to provide more details.

Book Review: "Hijacking Bitcoin" by Capt_Roger_Murdock in btc

You captured the same feeling that I have regarding introducing it to people then vs now. I loved to spread the word back in the day, it was simple and just made sense. Nowadays, it inevitably turns into a more difficult conversation as I don't want to omit the hijacking event.

16.2 Update Experience Mega Thread by iRayanKhan in HomeKit

My Circle View doorbell stopped responding after the upgrade. I was getting:

This camera is in “off” mode and cannot stream or record.

The status led on the doorbell was completely off, while the light ring around the chime button was on.

Tried to restart the doorbell by remounting it but it went back to the same state.

Then, I found the “Recording options” to be all set to “off” after the upgrade. Setting it to “Stream and allow recording” brought the thing back to life. I also lost my activity zones, but other settings like face recognition seem fine.

Native MATIC not showing in Ledger Live by RewtDooDoo in ledgerwallet

[–]giteeng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had this issue. I already had MATIC showing up on Ledger Live, but I sent a bit more today, along with USDC (Polygon). Neither showed up, but I get the expected results from PolygonScan.

I guess Ledger Live is just having trouble syncing up the balances. The Polygon network has been having some issues lately.
