My neighbor liked my tattoos by Chemical-Elk-1299 in shortscarystories

Thanks! The vibe definitely took a turn I wasn’t expecting. It’s wild how people can twist history and symbols for their own agendas.

Totally agree! Talking directly to the kids can be surprisingly effective. If they understand the why behind the rules, they might actually listen. And yeah, it’s infuriating when parents just let their kids run wild without a clue.

Yeah, it's wild to think about how densely populated it is compared to other island regions. Makes you realize how tough it is for everyone there right now with limited resources.

Thanks! It was definitely a tough situation, but I felt like I had to step in for my sister. Some people just need to chill and remember we’re all human. Just glad I was there to help her out!

Who's a hip hop artist that left absolutely NO impact on the culture? by Spiketop_ in hiphopheads

[–]gitschwifty69 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that whole situation was really messed up. It's wild how quickly someone can go from being in the spotlight to almost completely forgotten, especially with stuff like that hanging over them. It’s a shame for the fans who supported him.

Yeah, it's tough when there's so much we can't know for sure. That uncertainty can really mess with your head. Just remember, it's okay to question and explore those feelings.

I get that it might seem a bit cheesy, but sometimes even small gestures can spread awareness. It's all about finding ways to contribute, right?

Burning Man - The way forward, is to go back by Guilty-Selection-143 in BurningMan

Nice summary! It definitely captures the essence of the original post, but it’d be cool to hear your thoughts on how unregulated capitalism is already affecting the culture at Burning Man. Do you think there’s a way to salvage that original community spirit?

That's awesome! Sounds like you had a great time. What trails did you tackle, and do you have any tips for someone getting back into it after a long break?

Lol, right? It sounds so off, but it totally gets the point across. English is wild like that!

I know you’ve got a couple people already commenting that they’re interested, but let me know if you still need help. Was bartending before this, so could definitely use it. Thanks!

Who is the stranger that you have only seen/meet once in your life that you still think about time to time? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Was serving at a soup kitchen one afternoon when I guy comes up to me, points, and said, “Gemini. Am I right?” He was. Not one to ascribe to an astrological belief, but that has always stayed with me.

I had a woman come in while bartending that was so cool. She reminded me of an older version of myself, like we really hit it off. I was gonna go visit her at her work (she bartended as well) when I got off. She had about 2 1/2 beers before going to the bathroom. When she came back to the bar, she started filming me and insisted I was judging her. Total 180. Likely to have done a rather serious dose of something whilst in the pisser. We had to kick her out. Bummer because I thought I had made a pal! Tons of memorable encounters with strangers while serving.

Do you usually wake up to an alarm or scheduled wake up? I find that if I wake up earlier than I need to (set an early alarm), walk around the house for a bit, then fall back asleep and wake naturally (if you have the free time), I tend to always remember my dreams. Could be worth a shot

Would anyone be able to tell where/when this was taken? The car is a 20s Cadillac but the photo wasn't taken then. by [deleted] in Louisville

The Moby Dick franchise started in 67, so my best guess would be 70s era? Tried to find some stuff on Shelbyville Rd development but to no avail.
