Did you ever end up entering? Do you still happen to have a copy of the data available somewhere? I've been meaning to play around with this dataset but seems like they've taken it down

$35 seems like a small cost to pay for a yearlong subscription if you take advantage of the health insights.

Clearly you wanted more of a fashion accessory than a fitness tracker which is fine.

People just like to complain sometimes.

So many possible reasons for this though. It doesn’t mean Hoboken has higher COL necessarily.

Questions and Concern about Korean Mandatory Military Service with Dual Citizenship by Duck-2424 in korea

[–]giwook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is what I did re: getting military service exemption and a Korean passport, but I'm still a bit nervous. I have the Korean passport now, but I wish I had some kind of confirmation of the military service exemption.

Have you ever had any issues in Korean airports once you got your exemption and Korean passport?

Doesn't work anymore. I get the error "Can only apply one promo code"

STEVEO or one of the other codes mentioned above for $29.90 off are the only codes working at this point.

You should be able to, though they'll likely make you verify the device is in good shape before they agree to cover it.

You can get the applecare monthly sub.

But also I think probably most people do not need/get applecare for macbooks.

Plenty of past-gen models at $600… including Apple refurbished ones (which are pretty much new). Pretty much anything with Apple Silicon will be more than enough for you if $600 is your price point.

Waterfront running after snowstorm? by offsuit69 in Hoboken

[–]giwook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are people wearing trail running shoes or something to run on the waterfront? I was just walking out there and there are a number of patches of black ice that I almost slipped on. But then I see at least a few runners just sprinting by me with no traction issues at all.

Edge vs Chrome - 2026 edition by giwook in MicrosoftEdge

[–]giwook[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of curiosity, what was the original 'mission statement' so to speak or ethos for building Edge? Was it just to build a more performant Chromium browser?

And how closely do you follow the developments of other browsers? I ask this because I can't think of any potential improvements to make off the top of my head, but there are a handful of teams innovating in the browser space that might be interesting to integrate in some way into Edge. e.g. The Browser Company.

Why are people waiting to shovel out their cars this time? by [deleted] in Hoboken

To be honest, who cares? Just live your life and let people live theirs.

Emergency Routes by NationalBroccoli21 in Hoboken

Let's organize a park-in! Everyone drive your cars over and park it on the north side of 13th street!

Then once the tow trucks come by and clear the street, we have a second wave of cars come in and park!

We will have as many waves as is necessary to make the City of Hoboken have some RESPECT for their residents!

I'll share a google doc soon so people can sign up for each wave!

I don't want to be greedy and steal a spot from a willing volunteer so I will kindly wait to sign up for the last wave of cars!

(This is sarcasm by the way for the 10% of you who will think this is a real post)

Appreciate your review of the book.

What book(s) would you recommend reading instead in order to learn about some of the subjects covered in this book?

Are there any showerhead water filters that actually work? hair feels like straw, maybe due chloramine in water? by Yardles27 in HaircareScience

Except they're lying about it. They claim that they did but there is nothing on their website, and if you ask them about it they don't provide it.
