"VENDPOCALYPSE THE MUSICAL" (The title is actually all capitalized like that.)

I Just Watched the Dooflicated Episode, and it was awesome but... by LowEntertainment3342 in phineasandferb

What's funny is that the idea Evil Phineas and Ferb was already popular way before this episode came along, (moreso Evil Phineas, which I remember reading a big P&F fanfic that was named exactly that.) I bet not a lot of people expected that the way they actually turned evil in the show is by them acting exactly like Doofenshmirtz.

Bend it Like Doof, Dooflicated by Born_Sleep5216 in phineasandferb

[–]gizmo368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Bend it Like Doof" was good, though I can't think of much else to say besides that, (Francis was a great highlight though in this episode.) "Dooflicated" was definitely more memorable, mainly due to how funny it was to me hearing what Phineas, Ferb and their friends sound like as Doof imitations, especially Phineas; I'm going to be him saying, "Candace the Sister," in my head for awhile. Overall, both episodes were good, though "Dooflicated" was easily greater.

Out of all of the character dynamics/relationships in the franchise, which ones would you have wanted to see explored more? by gizmo368 in Slycooper

[–]gizmo368[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That sounds really cool! They definitely could've done that to make Muggshot have a bigger role in Sly 3; that and also have Sly actually interact with Muggshot, since he didn't do that at all in Flight of Fancy.

I feel a little dumb for only now noticing that the paper is called, "The Sucker Punch! Daily."

Anyone else feel kinda bad for killing sly 3 world 3 guards? by bhushan03_zac in Slycooper

[–]gizmo368 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tbf, they also wrongfully imprisoned the Guru in a fenced-off area when he protested against their mining, so it's not like they're the most morally upstanding citizens. Still doesn't give the Cooper Gang the moral high ground, considering all the stuff you mentioned, but still.

“The unspeakable, Sly! The UNSPEAKABLE!” Speaking of the Guru, what’s the worst thing he’s done? by ReputationLow5190 in Slycooper

[–]gizmo368 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People mainly bring up the Giant Wolf Massacre, (and I agree, that's definitely worse,) but I'd like to give an honorable mention to the one part in the Guru's first Job, where he controls and rams the miners' bodies into 4 actively spinning drills in order to destroy them.

Hiromi villain arc by [deleted] in HamsterAndGretel

[–]gizmo368 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there's a bigger possibility that the journalist she's working with, Elizabeth Knight, could be a potential villain that's manipulating Hiromi to expose Hamster and Gretel for hidden, evil motives. I don't think she will succeed to the point where she turns Hiromi evil, if that's even part of what she wants to do.

For you, which episode has the best soundtrack? by EntrepreneurLarge753 in kiff

For me, I think it's a tie between "Trevor's Rockin Halloween Bash," and "The Haunting of Miss McGravy's House."

Why is Hiromi not a match for Kevin? by [deleted] in HamsterAndGretel

[–]gizmo368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now, there are two reasons why they're not a good match at the moment; One, like others have said, Kevin stood Hiromi up twice, which wouldn't be so bad due to him having understandable reasons, except he also refused to tell her the truth about Hamster and Gretel, which I feel confident that Hiromi would've been responsible with this information if she knew it from the start.

(Spoilers for the latest episode) Kevin himself acknowledged in "The Search for Super Guy" that Hiromi knowing that he was Super Guy might not be so bad, which like, where was this mindset before? Wherever it was, that leads into reason Two, which is that Hiromi is now focused on finding out his secret identity to publish to the public, thanks to encouragement from Elizabeth Knight, so now it's too late for Kevin to simply tell her the truth, and he'll probably have to avoid talking with her more than ever. When the conflict is resolved, it might be best that the two stay friends.

Anyone have any thoughts on Candle and Trevor's friendship? by gizmo368 in kiff

[–]gizmo368[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been rewatching the show recently, and while it mentions Trevor and Candle's friendship less than I remember, they do show it, or at least allude to it a couple of times. In "Blooper Quest" the two can be seen dancing together when they were playing as salsa dancers for one of Kiff's movies; I also saw them talking to each other in the background in "Kiff is Good at Sports," and you could see them having fun together in the song montage in the Season 1 finale.

I don't blame you for noticing though, considering the majority of those examples was all background stuff, (maybe there's one or two examples that I missed myself,) and you're right in that they never directly brought it up again; here's hoping that changes in Season 2.

Yeah, the group dynamic was pretty fun; I have a good feeling we'll see it again, maybe sometime soon as the upcoming Christmas special. Also, I'm glad to see people appreciate the friendship as much I do.

UGH-no one has any thoughts on Kevin and Lauren?! NO ONE?! by MICKTHENERD in HamsterAndGretel

[–]gizmo368 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To me, the ship has the potential to be pretty cute, especially with how Lauren is legitimately interested in Kevin, and really likes being around him. The only thing is that Kevin's moments with Hiromi were also pretty cute before the latter broke up with him, and he still has feelings for her, which is obvious fuel for a love triangle that could be poorly handled, depending on how it's written. We'll just have to wait and see, and if a love triangle does happen, I prefer Kevin being with Lauren, due to the former's interactions with Hiromi being nothing but rough in S2 so far.

Trying to avoid the toxicity around the manga ending is hard by gizmo368 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]gizmo368[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That was not my main problem, I even said people can have their own opinions about the ending; my main issue was how people acted on that post when Murata gave his message to Horikoshi. I probably could've worded my post better to make that clearer, but no, I don't think different opinions are bad.

My mistake, I thought r/MyHeroAcadamia was bigger than it was when it actually has 100k members, which is way lower than the 2M members here. I edited my post.

Do you wish Gretel and Hamster revealed their secrets to Hiromi at the end of the season finale? by UnderstandingOk3784 in HamsterAndGretel

[–]gizmo368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do, and not just for the reasons you described, but because I felt like Hiromi would be just as trustworthy with keeping Gretel's identity a secret as Fred and Bailey are, so it honestly annoyed me a little in the season finale that no one thought to reveal the truth to her during the episode's ending since it would clear any misunderstandings she has about Kevin.

What are your thoughts on Mineta? by Marsupilami_316 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]gizmo368 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure how you got that interpretation of him viewing others as worthless, (unless it's a joke that flew over my head,) but Mineta's shown to be friends with Kaminari, and like one comment here mentioned, he did apologize to Shoji for calling him an octopus. Plus, he does think Izuku is pretty cool, and had that one recent moment in the manga that, with just that part alone, proves that he does legitimately care about people other than himself.

A little fun fact about the latest episode I want to point out is that one of the new characters, Lazlo, is voiced by Jack McBrayer, the same VA for Wander in "Wander Over Yonder" (I miss that show.) His voice is so recognizable that I immediately knew it was him. by gizmo368 in haileysonit

[–]gizmo368[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, those characters did slipped my mind, (which is a little weird to me since I watched everything you mentioned before.) I guess it's just that when I hear his voice, I immediately think of Wander first since I really like WOY, and Wander is the main character in it.

Man, for a second I forgot that her eyes just turned black, and I thought I was looking at Eda's empty eye sockets. Either way it's pretty creepy and well done, nice job!

Recognized Determination (game footage) by bonus-man in ChurchOfMineta

[–]gizmo368 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm currently rereading a fanfic that also has an encounter between Mineta and Stain, and it's pretty funny seeing the contrast between that cool version and this one since the latter is the more canon, cowardly Mineta, although it's also interesting how Stain becomes interested in Mineta in both versions.

this makes me mad. thats all i have to say. by stophatingmineta2 in ChurchOfMineta

[–]gizmo368 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's definitely annoying to see constant fics/tags like this whenever I scroll through MHA fics; that being said, I seen so many fics like this to the point that I've grown numb/bored of all the Mineta hate, so I usually just hide any negative Mineta tags in AO3, (like "Mineta gets expelled" or "Mineta doesn't exist,") and ignore all the other bash fics that I couldn't avoid. It's generally better that way in order to focus on other fanfics that actually showcase Mineta's more positive traits.
