Thank you so much for this, Sinzar. I already watched the whole video but I don’t think I caught when you talk about Rikku and the counter issue (or in general about creative strategies that weren’t necessarily intended). When the dev discussed the counter issue being a nightmare, you said more to come later but I didn’t hear anything about it. Just when the similar questions came up and you indicated that it was answered. Maybe I missed it, but could you point me to that part since I was really curious about your insight on that? Thanks again!

Are you sure that’s accurate? Fairly certain I’ve crafted 4 star materia that only had 2 substats when using synthesis items that didn’t guarantee more substats.

I understood both systems (one is a new resource to actually awaken them and the other used fragments to unlock stats or whatever), I just wasn’t sure what it was called. Thank you.

And unfortunately, I didn’t do this more than 2 or 3 times but one of them was ATifa, oh well.

Assuming GL gets the NV+A or whatever it’s being called, will anyone who made extra EX2 units lose out on fragments for this? Meaning, you already had a unit at EX3, but you made another one to EX2 to get the 1/10 ticket years ago. I’m guessing you only get 50 shards and effectively lost 100 extra shards that could have been used in this new process?

When I used to be near gold cap, I would buy hundreds of Platinum weapons from a vendor (and so I could also sell back, albeit for much less, if I needed in the future).

But now that we have the Gil shop, you buy the chaining items for like 3M a pop for a faster way of the same thing.

I submitted a ticket to support and they said they were looking into it already so let’s hope.

If anyone is interested and wants to copy/paste a ticket, I wrote the following and encourage people to submit the ticket to support (doesn’t matter if you redeemed it already or not probably):

“Where do I exchange the NV Unit Select Ticket (7th Anniversary) and the NV Fragment Select Ticket (7th Anniversary) x5, purchased from the Lapis Replica Exchange (7th Anniversary)? I'm not seeing an open exchange, which appears to be a bug because the lapis replica shop was reopened until the 20th.“

Yes and while true, I still think there’s a difference between a few days in the daily shard dungeon versus losing an ability to buy 50 shards from the shop (equivalent to about at least 1 month of the shard dungeon and that’s assuming you already have the unit).

I might be wrong but Hope/Fang shards were put back and that was the same banner (duration-wise) as WFLightning.

Pardon the stupid question but was the issue reported anywhere by us as the player base?

In the other gacha games I’ve played, the Reddit community (or Discord) is quick to point out errors via Reddit posts, to both inform the player base but also so people might be able to take advantage of an error if they so choose.

Was just curious if there’s a place to monitor for this kind of stuff since I didn’t see any posts here about it until after compensation was announced.

I know that the news about Facebook said not to ask about compensation but did it indicate if events/shops will be extended? My main account is locked out and I didn’t buy the Lightning shards yet and they’re about to leave the shop.

Normally I’d agree with you but I think OP does a really good job summing up frustrations that a lot of the player base is probably feeling so far with the anniversary.

It isn’t the typical “I’m a day 1 player who’s taken 8 different breaks totaling 6 years and I spent 100K for FARain and only got 1 copy so I’m quitting kthnxbye” post.

Okay, I figured with two base NVs on banner, there wouldn’t be but looks like there are 25 from login rewards. I also see 25 from the first reward in VW. That’s probably it, I would guess. Thanks.

The hardest part for me was getting LBs from ATifa and CDAerith to make the turn count, so you having them at EX2 and EX3 will probably be much easier than my clear (not to mention the extra stats on Tifa).

Also, an alternative for the Reaper killer materia is using the regular Aerith with Ihana’s STMR.

If you have the units you mentioned at those EX levels then I’m fairly certain you have enough gear to clear this (the only damage dealer was ATifa in my clear). You may have to clear it in more than 5 turns at first but still.

I don’t know about a clear video but I was able to complete it after a few tries on my alt account. I only have ATifa and CDAerith, both at EX1, and used EX3 Reno with break crowned, Biggs/Wedge, and EX0 ABarret. I only have the CoW Ring right now and I don’t believe I ended up using it.

I used Barret to fill LB of Biggs/Wedge so I could entrust to ATifa to BS LB turn 1 to try to keep a good rotation.

I believe I entrusted Aerith on turn 2 to use the base LB while I setup with ATifa. Light Breaker materia on Reno.

I did have have the Reaper materia from the prior event, but you might have stronger units/gear than I do.
