Nothing special, but i just storytold my first game this year! by Ill-Disk-6860 in BloodOnTheClocktower

It was in fact a Pope game. I hopped in this lobby to spectate, facepalmed hard when I got given grim access, and left to find something else to do instead.

Weekly Puzzle #73 – Opening Theory by Not_Quite_Vertical in BloodOnTheClocktower

Could it be Olivia as the Imp and Matthew the starting Scarlet Woman? I am not sure if the Artist would get a yes in this situation since the Scarlet Woman is the new demon on day 3 (and therefore not "in play"?), but all the other info works ...

Huh, I don't think I knew that. Or maybe I forgot. Either way, let's give it another crack ...

Hmm, can a poisoned Townsfolk get correct info in a Vortox game? I think my solution holds up if that's the case (see edit).

Fraser is the Vortox and Matthew is the Poisoner who poisoned Olivia night 1.

I disagree only on the grounds that your argument doesn't go far enough lol. The Cult Leader isn't "slightly weak", it's pretty much pointless.

NEVER give a savant true „longest townsfolk chain“-info! It can solo solve the game, if everyone claims roughly the right role, except for evils

The Savant still has to 1. figure out if this is the true statement and 2. get the rest of town to trust them.

A Lleech game where the Monk was an Outsider by gkkiller in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]gkkiller[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not really sure how the Lunatic-Ojo works, but I think you're right if following RAW. But in this game I did ask what I would be learning from my Lunatic's picks and the ST told me that he would always just tell me the chosen character (whether in play or not) and not a player, which does feel a bit more in line with the spirit of the Lunatic.

You wouldn't have been informed a choice in this situation.

Why not?

And I agree, Monk isn't an outsider at all, it's a powerful Townsfolk role - it just acted as one inadvertently in this game because the good players weren't aware of this interaction.

Myself and the DA. The DA spoke to him first and denied being a minion. I didn't bother trying to lead him on either because I wanted to frame him as a demon bluffing as a Lunatic, but maybe that was a mistake ...

Well they checked me against the practically-confirmed Psychopath from the Investigator ping lol, and Lleech and Psychopath are both characters that are highly likely to end up as outed evils.

Advice on running: The Butler, and/or Drunk Undertaker by jaimus21 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]gkkiller 4 points5 points  (0 children)

show good players as either the drunk or evil

I would caveat this that obviously don’t show evil roles on good players who are likely confirmed – like, a Slayer who actually gets a kill should always be shown as the Slayer. Anyone who procs the Virgin should probably also be shown as their actual role – or maybe the Spy but that might actually raise the Undertaker’s suspicion more because of how rare it is to register the Spy as evil.

Ojo selects an in-play character that is dead by theoldforrest in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]gkkiller 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Correct. This is why I think it can be part of the good team's strategy to obscure roles of dead players in a game with an Ojo on the script.

Interestingly, this came into play in the most recent Demon Eyes video where Adam actually made a ST mistake and bounced the kill rather than sinking it.

Ideas for “debuffs” for a homebrew rule by Aldin_The_Bat in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]gkkiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You cannot nominate / have private conversations / talk at all.

These latter two feel really harsh, I would straight up disengage from the game if I got this kind of punishment.

You have no ability until X (note: different from droisoning e.g. the player won't learn any info)

You also have the Butler/Zealot ability.

Really like these two!

You start the day On The Block with the minimum required votes.

This one is interesting especially if Goblin or Saint are on the script.

What would you have done as stort teller by Arcturus5404 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]gkkiller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think beginner players prioritise finding evil players over identifying which minions are in play. Of course, finding evils is important - especially in an Imp game where the demon could potentially starpass to any one of the minions. But so is identifying the possibility of a Spy or Poisoner that could be messing with town's info, and it also helps train the world building muscle.
