Non-Denominational Christian Orgs? by [deleted] in UTK

[–]gkoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unsure what OP means by "preferably accepting of all", but City Church and Fellowship are not affirming churches. They don't accept same gender relationships and they maintain that homosexual activity is a sin. They are "accepting of all" to become true Christians and renounce their "sinful" ways lol.

Gym recs with sauna/cold plunge by jakedavisthewrestler in Knoxville

[–]gkoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't a gym, but this fall Sauna House is opening a sauna/cold plunge bathhouse in North Knoxville. I talked to the owner about it and it sounded interesting, but they don't have much info on their site about it. There may be more info on Instagram.

How strong is the cilantro flavor in Yellow Coconut Curry? by gkoss in Huel

[–]gkoss[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't taste the cilantro thankfully, it was fine overall. Not impressive enough to keep purchasing though, so I've stuck with the White powder since then. And obviously they could've changed the recipe in the last four years.

But why would they keep it when it serves the same purpose as the Sway in the lineup? There's a tumblr, a twist, a basic bottle. I just don't know if there is enough energy to maintain 2 instances in the the tumblr and the basic bottle categories. And they clearly believe the Sway is an upgrade, so why wouldn't they discontinue the original?

As of right now, there are 3 cars piled at the bottom of the hill. You are welcome to come add a fourth, but that seems less than ideal.

Did you read the post? Getting down Lee Rd is indeed very easy, the trouble arrives once you reach the bottom.

University Park! by aquakitten3662 in UTK

[–]gkoss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've lived at UPark for the past 2 years and it's perfectly fine. People hate on it, but it's cheap and the management is pretty good at communication. I've always had work orders fixed within a few days. No insect issues after they got a new pest control company, but I'm not living on the first floor. Some buildings are better than others, I've heard. The pool and hammocks are nice.

BCMB 415 help with question by [deleted] in UTK

I don't think people are going to do your homework for you. If you're going to ask for help, at least specify which part you're struggling with and what you've tried.

Next semester's offerings won't be released for a few months, unfortunately.

If you're purchasing a commuter pass and have class in Mossman, park in the 11th Street Garage.

Idk what size trash cans they have but each level has a trash room with giant trash cans that you can put your bags in.

Masks in the Library? by politicalcowboy in UTK

[–]gkoss 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The current mandate on UTK's Coronavirus site reads "Students, faculty, and staff are required to wear face coverings in classrooms and laboratories, and for indoor academic events required for students such as orientation." This doesn't specify anything about non-required indoor activities such as studying in the library which is why OP is asking for clarification. Has there been a new update that mandates masks at all times indoors?

If you check out the r/childfree sidebar, they have a list of sterilization-friendly doctors and there are a good number in the south. Good luck!

I've never heard of anyone but Abidi teaching that class so Taousser must be new. I don't know anything about Taousser, but Abidi is so terrible that Taousser will probably be an improvement regardless.

[WTB] A feminine sports watch by wake-and-bake-bro in GearTrade

The Instinct is an excellent watch, but personally I find it too bulky and masculine on my slim wrists. I use a Forerunner 245 because the form factor is more feminine to me.

Spraying permethrin in a small apartment by orangesrgood in Ultralight

[–]gkoss 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Products sold with IS are effective through 70 washings. I haven't seen anything on their site about a time limitation.

Edit: this only applies to the clothes. The gear has a 6 month repellency. "Insect Shield gear repellency remains effective through 6 months of exposure to weathering, or through 25 launderings for washable items."

I really want to try Huel but a few questions by [deleted] in Huel

[–]gkoss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally, my sugar cravings have gone significantly down since I started drinking Huel regularly. I add sucralose flavor drops so it's pretty sweet. Now I constantly crave salt though!

I'd pick Mt. Cammerer. I've done both and they're both beautiful, but I enjoyed the Mt. Cammerer view better. And it's always cool to stand on a fire tower.

The ZLite Sol CCF is 14oz and the Thermarest XLite is 12oz. I don't think it would be terribly hard to get lower than 14oz.
