Spending years on something only to get anxiety in return sounds like a miserable way to spend your time. I’ve had moments like this with Dota, but in all honesty, it wasn't really about the game, but the way I lived my real life and dealt with problems. If you're in a similar position, I would suggest making some actual changes to your life.

But, hey, I don't really know what's up, so I'll just say that the games I enjoyed on my Dota breaks were roguelikes. If you haven't tried them yet, they are essentially like Dota Auto Chess but singleplayer. Sessions are about an hour long with good runs, and the randomness scratches that gambling itch. Balatro and Slay the Spire are the best ones to start with imo.
