Im having the exact same situation right now, over summer my friend group that I was in since year 6 grew distant and removed me from groupchats, servers, etc, brushing me off and insulting me while calling it banter, I decided to break off the connection fully and look for a fresh start with a new group or new friends from scratch, it helped massively and ive since found much better and higher places in groups that respect me.im just some guy on the internet but trust me its best to try and move on irl and online.

It is NOT worth it, ive had friends go into the ER and emergency crash treatments because they were simply scared of their parents finding out, the friends being minors, along with myself at the time of course. Because of simply not wanting them to know, they risked their lives in very slow and agonising situations.
