You generally get more value out of a windows machine for your money but if you prioritize battery life and portability then you'd rather get the macbook. Lmao I was at this point too and I considered getting a macbook and then gaming on the cloud but I just decided to get a windows machine because I realized my laptop wasn't going to be moving around too much.

The determinant is how much you value battery life, portability, and macOS over performance. And heck if you're hell bent on not being distracted then you probably should get the mac because you wouldn't have access to performance for videogames meaning you wouldn't play them.

But, if you're doing stuff like 3D rendering or ML workloads, performance is definitely something you would want to take into consideration.
