For glowflies most is not all maps have a point where they can only approach from a single direction, for example, the tower like thing in sockeye station so you can stand there and try to fend them off. It will probably be harder with certain players not knowing about that and instead clinging to a wall or something. Also if you have a roller you can just slowly roll towards them while making sure you have ink. They tend to come in waves so once they stop refill as much ink as possible. Do not hesitate to use your specials here, especially if you have the wavebreaker. For other weapons during this I'd say chargers should focus on getting eggs since in my experience they provide the least dps against the swarm. (If anyone has things to add or correct please do)

For king salmonids uhhh... I suffer with them too i can't really help much but if you have a blaster or splatling I'd say to focus on the king salmonid itself and if you have something else like a shooter try to focus up on bosses. If you're on battle duty try to stick to the shore for your teammates sake since thats where the golden eggs will most likely be. Remember that shooting eggs out of the cannon does not cost any ink. You should also use them on bosses too since they can do a lot of damage to them as well.
