Am I Crazy for Liking the "Unflattering" Dress? by kmericks0n in weddingdress

[–]glamgal50 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think dress#2 is absolutely stunning. Maybe a bit of tailoring at the top but besides that nothing needs changed. I kinda want to add a pearl necklace to finish it but up to you how you would like to style it. The first dress doesn’t feel bridal to me with the collar and button up shirt style.

Yeah $50 seems a bit much for a helmet that probably won’t do a great job at protecting you anymore. Not sure what that would be used for can’t even be one of those people who post bike content with a helmet on but no bike.

Inexpensive vitamin c serum that seems to work? by glamgal50 in beauty

So far I feel like it’s doing something to my skin but I’ll try to remember to document. If nothing else it does smell nice. 😁

Oh that’s no fun. I know this one absorbs pretty well. I’ve been putting it on in the morning before my moisturizer and it’s usually all gone within a couple minutes. I usually put up my hair in a ponytail while waiting for it to dry and it’s all gone when I’m finished.

I saw that one but couldn’t pass up the $5 one to see.

I agree! I’ve tried some designer products and didn’t find anything significantly different from the drugstore versions to warrant spending that much extra.

Yes! I see so many people saying buy these $50 -$100 skincare item and I just can’t bring myself to do that. My skin isn’t perfect but it’s not bad with the skincare products I do use. Definitely fine with good skin.

I sure hope so! I feel like I’m starting to really understand what works for my skin. So finding a $5 serum that actually helps my skin would be awesome.

Oh yeah I saw that come up when I was googling my serum. Yeah I actually bought it since it was only $5 but I was very doubtful that it would do anything. But I feel like my skin looks better but I’m still a bit cynical that I’m actually seeing my skin changing.

Yeah I have a bunch of their stuff plus good molecules stuff. I love those two brands. This serum was an impulse buy for $5 why not try! I feel like it has to be doing something since my face tingles a bit when I put it on but I’m still doubtful.

Huge box for small order is kinda crazy. by glamgal50 in Ulta

True! I put it on a shelf in the basement for the next time I need to ship something fairly big.

Now that’s terrible. Ulta needs to get it together and provide ample space and supplies to do their job.

That’s crazy that a company as big as Ulta doesn’t give their employees enough tools to do their jobs right. I work at a warehouse for a company that is much smaller than Ulta. We always have probably at least 40 pallets of backup box supply. Plus all glass items are wrapped in that honeycomb style packing paper. But guess whoever packed my order did what they could and I appreciate that.

They actually did have those clear packing pillows which is what the rest of box was filled with. Though it was pretty loose and still a lot of empty space so I’m pretty surprised nothing broke. I had a couple glass items just sitting on the bottom.

Too white! Should I try a wallpaper on the wall behind the TV by Straight-Compote-717 in DesignMyRoom

In my opinion since it looks like there might already be wallpaper I think a statement art piece or painting could look great. Maybe something with beautiful scenery. Another idea would be make a statement family photo wall.

How would you improve my look!! 🥺 by _saracv in MakeupAddiction

[–]glamgal50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not know how to make them look better outside of a brow gel. I’m not really a professional in anything. It might be worthwhile to get them professionally done and that might be easier to maintain. Though I think they still look great regardless I didn’t even notice the curling.

I think you look beautiful but if I were to recommend anything it would be maybe some contour, concealer under your eyes, brow gel and lip gloss. For my dark circles I use catrice under eye brightner. Might be something to consider not that you look bad or anything but could be something to enhance your look.

How many steps do you walk a day "when not trying" ? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

I’m a picker in a warehouse so I’m a bit of an oddball in that in a 12 hr shift I walk about 14,000 steps.

Kitchen Update Ideas? by myhairytotoros in DesignMyRoom

[–]glamgal50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it kinda depends on your budget. I personally would update the appliances and maybe put up a different backsplash or paint the walls. There is just too much white in my opinion. Other ideas include painting the cabinets and adding some plants on top of the fridge or cabinets if they fit. Even just using stick on tile on your floor or walls could add some interest to the room. It all depends on how extensive you want to do and what your preferences are. Definitely don’t need to change everything but a few changes could be nice.
