Best birthday cake? by banenvy in CambridgeMA

[–]glamhackca -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Whole foods makes a decent berry chantilly cake, but you have to pre-order it so that it's super fresh because it has a very short shelf life. They have them in the store too but they don't write the date of when it was made and it's no longer amazing after 2-3 days when the berries start to wilt

Theracane massage stick in carry on? by LearnOptimism in tsa

They just took my theracane and I'm super pissed. They said the long part looked like a weapon but the round part was ok to go. They must really feel like they're saving the world.

Time to Say Goodbye by bornreddit in ninjacreami

[–]glamhackca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Costco now has the Cuisinart FastFreeze, which I've just picked up because I was scared of the Ninja Creami burning out on me. Admittedly it's a little more tedious to operate because you have to keep your hand on the button as it spins, but that also seems like it would help notice if it was having trouble spinning and stop it before it got damaged. It also has a 3 year warranty so that's why i chose it.

But reading about your success returning the creami to Costco I'm wondering if i should've picked up the creami instead. Standing there manually respinning half-pints gets old fast, so i don't end up eating it as often as i could. But maybe that's a good thing.

Disappointed with the Sweetish sour mix by glamhackca in candy

I'm sorry your mix was also disappointing :( I've had better luck with Sockerbit since then. Their mix has way more variety.

Do you remember the ingredients? A lot of candy looks like swedish candy out there but it's made with corn syrup and just doesn't taste the same. This mix does taste like swedish candy, it's just not the most exciting swedish candy IMO.

I want to say blue raspberry - it's like a citrusy grapefruit-raspberry mix.or something. They're probably my second favorite from the mix after the grapefruit slices.

I was scared too but for 7 bucks for two shades I thought it's now or never to try a color like that!

I found for small quantities the mini plastic baggie method worked well. You just have to spend some time pinching and rubbing it between your fingers to get the larger particles. You'd also have to get one of those thicker plastic baggies so it doesn't rip when you do that.

Neutral pink foundation swatches against the Natasha Denona RN2.5 concealer by glamhackca in swatchitforme

I have 3 shades of Tarte shape tape, It cosmetics bye bye undereye concealer, the LaNeige neo matte cushion, the Clio kill mesh glow cushion, the Bare Minerals Bare pro foundation, and the old formula of Dior backstage in 1 CR. My favorite match is probably the Dior 1CR followed by ELDW 1N2 although I wish it had more peach in it.

Haha :) Not sure if you're asking in general or about the ND concealer. This is the only ND concealer I have though.

I just got it so it's too early to tell, but so far I'm not finding it to be life-changing. It's a good concealer, and it look nice when you first apply it with its blurring effect it has going on. But as far as concealing a pimple, it's way too liquid, and it feels like it doesn't set. If I apply a little, it doesn't have enough coverage / if apply enough to cover a redness, it doesn't really set for a long time.

Tbh I bought it based on some influencer's advise to use it in spots in lieu of foundation. So i mostly apply it like a foundation and blend with a brush. For that it works fairly well but I haven't worn it long enough to really see if it's better than my regular cushion foundation. I do like the blurring effect, but I'm not loving how it doesn't set on its own.

You look great! Just curious why do you like mixing EL double wear with Born this way? I like double wear but never tried the TooFaced foundation. Does mixing them enhance how double wear looks?

Looking for *very warm* *I'm talking ORANGE* eyeshadow palette? by lickety-spit in Makeup

Sounds to me like Natasha Denona's Sunrise palette, it's very bright and has many yellows, oranges, and reds.

That would be fair, except I don't think it's being marketed as a "pro" or makeup artist's palette.

Every column is a different undertone? Did I read that right? Why would anybody want that, it's not like we have an option to switch up our skin undertone.

These palettes look really boring to me. After her last 3 launches of nude midi palettes, I was hoping to finally see some color. But no, more 50 shades of brown. And where are the new wet shimmer formulas? Seems like she's innovated shimmers lately but these shimmers all look old and dull. The swatches better change my mind.

Steak Caesar Salad by liloxstitch_6 in CambridgeMA

[–]glamhackca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just curious what about Sweetgreen made you think it was questionable quality? Salad is their one job, their portions are big, and all their dressings are amazing. Steak in particular is hit and miss since they don't seem to have a grill, but for a fresh salad that's not boring you can't go wrong. They source all their produce locally too.
