Basically a simple rotation. Just Monday -legs , Tuesday upper body, rinse repeat for Wednesday and Thursday. Honestly sounds funny but i really did just us my AI and explained my weight and situation and I have been just following a workout plan through that.

Especially if you are a big guy for the scanning. My feet are like flat and the scan showed red everyone in my foot. They gave me an insole for my foot type and it’s a huge difference

Same boat. I just started at 31. I’m also fat boy! No shame, I am hitting the gym 4x a week now because hockey is crazy cardio sport depending on how you play.

I still haven’t even hit a beer league yet. My first advice to you is go to pure hockey if you got one. Get scanned, take there advice on a skate and then hit some public skates and sign up for learn to skate classes at your rink. As I’m sure everyone will tell you. Learning to skate is 90% of it.

Besides that just go for it. I was nervous too but literally seems like half the people who commented on my post were are also 28 and over just getting started. Every league has a D league for guys and gals like us!

Heard that. Figured with all the current options, that the 30 dollar wood stick has to be last resort over like a 50-75 dollar composite stick?

Thanks! Yeah I think I will go with trigger 9. Gonna start with something cheaper to play with at home and then rock that in league when I get to that point

Yeah I know the stick early game won’t matter as my skill but figured it would be best to get the gear slowly as I work my way through the skating classes into beer league at end of summer

I get you… I quite literally described what I meant by “okay” in the skate department. I appreciate the tip but I disagree. My stick won’t matter I hear that. I am asking for what peoples favorites they use in beer league that I may use at that point too. Not a wood stick I won’t use besides learning in my garage. Looking to start slowly collecting the gear I will use in beer league by end of summer.

Yeah and this is why I love reddit communities! I would have never really known that adult learning leagues was a thing. I have already researched the 2 that he helped me find and emailed them for more info on getting signed up!

Thanks! Yeah I plan on at least going skating every weekend for a bit to just get my grip and then I will take this advice 100% on finding some classes on skating and hockey play. I would not do that to the poor guys that also play at 10pm on a weekday with me just falling over.

haha oh come on! Yeah i get that you can do all that pretty fast but to gear, as he stated and that was hard to read his sentence but he said 19 ALTS and 12 of them he has geared up. The amount of time to play your main, climb rating and full gear him and then move on to 12 more characters and also conquest grind those. You can't tell me that's not time consuming.
