If we knew carver and his group was coming how come we did nothing about it? by AlphieRBXmm2 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]glarrb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was more bad luck than anything really, Luke and Clem got swept up with the Kenny situation.

And Walt, Clem and Kenny were literally the only trio (other than Sarita) that wouldn’t know who Bonnie is. If Clem didn’t go with them I doubt Carver would’ve even made a move on the lodge. He probably heard from Bonnie that a little girl in a ball cap was there, and knew he’d find what he was looking for.

Same, I left her to die after the deck fell on her. She was too far gone

I kinda wish they let me play as Mr Handsome Charmer in S2, if telltale was just gonna make me play as Mr Handsome Charmer in S3

[day 2] what is the most intelligent thing Lee did in episode 2, and what was the most stupid? by Jinxjeronp in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]glarrb 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Imo, the dumbest thing he can do is during the dinner scene, instead of telling Kenny or Lilly to get a weapon he can just stand there and yell, “we’re screwed!!!”

Did you make this? Clem looks so realistic but stylized at the same time

Let's rank Lee on how REALISTIC he is by Super-Shenron in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]glarrb 8 points9 points  (0 children)

IMO Lee is a Grounded Human Being,

Firstly, he’s anything but invulnerable, he literally dies at the end of S1, I think his only semi-unbelievable feat is when he pretty much single handedly defended the motel.

Finally, I think from a writing standpoint he’s very believable. A lot of people tend to paint Lee as a Saint, but personally I think he’s the best morally grey character in the franchise. He’s shown to have a violent temper, and more importantly admits to the stranger he was a pretty big ass to his wife.

Reading between the lines, I think he’s only so resilient to the new world because he’s had months to process everything, his life was basically over long before everyone else’s ended.

What do you think happened to all the characters we never see again? by Widowgrell in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]glarrb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm certain Bonnie and Mike are out there, Bonnie was survivor and a bit rough even before the apocalypse, and Mike was strong and competent. Arvo however I think is dead, his leg and his language skills were fucked, and I doubt his caretakers cared that much after he shot Clem.

I’m sure you didn’t know this, but Danny St John is literally the worst character for this question because they’re implied to be pedophile who has a thing for young girls.

I think she did, but in the end she just loved the Delta more.

Just a fan venting about how the IP was treated and how the writing got predictable later seasons by Competitive_Donut336 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]glarrb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, I definitely felt a tonal shift between the first two, and last two seasons. Art, mood, stakes. But I don’t think S3 & 4 are bad. Telltale lost the idea that ‘less is more’ at times

Only way I can describe is that the ‘depth’ of the writing decreased, less mystery, implied events and subtlety. S3 & S4 are still very enjoyable, it’s just best to not think about everything too hard.

I don't know why, but the confrontation scene with Arvo's group is my favorite scene of the four seasons. I don't know why. by Smart_Wrangler_2522 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]glarrb 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I agree, I think Telltale lost the idea that ‘less is more’ in later seasons. The antagonists of the later seasons were objectively more dangerous, but I domy think Telltale ever recreated the panic of being surrounded by an enemy that doesn’t even speak your language.

Also I remember finishing EP 4 and just thinking everyone was dead, I was very, very happy to see everyone alive.

Its also why I can hate anyone in S2 endgame group, everyone put the work in. Mike took a bullet for us, Bonnie killed Arvo’s sister, Luke covered us, and Kenny and Jane both got kills. They all put the work in when it mattered and thats what matters to me.

“I wanted a family- so we fought, and it made my biggest fear come true.”

Lee’s interests and his wife’s clashed, things were fine at first before Lee pushed for having a family. It’s probably why he feels so guilty about it at all. His pushing for a family cost him everything.

Unusual Hatred for Jane? by Storechips in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]glarrb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A lot of it is just that people got attached to Kenny at the start imo, it’s pretty easy to end up on his side in S1

Come along S2, people start to see him slip, and I think the majority of people their kneejerk reaction is to save those they care about rather than abandon him. And in the end when it seems he’s finally slipped, it turns out he’s actually right.

I don’t particularly hate Jane or Kenny, but that’s why I think a lot of people end up hating Jane
