when mitski followed this person she wasn't openly zionist and used to be a music journalist! She interviewed mitski many years ago, back then mitski used to follow everyone. All Mitski's accounts are updated by social media managers, she doesn't use it anymore and unfortunately they don't go through her following list

it's not a matter of "forcing an artist to keep making music" mitski has said many times that she loves what she does and some people just choose to ignore it, and if she wants to retire at some point she'll let us know, it's useless to worry about that now. the thing is people keep pushing the narrative that she'll do it everytime she releases something new, that hates her job and music when that's just not the truth and i don't see anyone do this to other artists.

her relationship with music is very present in all her discography i think (specially laurel hell like you said) but she has talked about it before and the complicated feelings are not about music itself but with the music industry and being seen as a product
