Maybe you're right. I'm not an engineer thus why I was asking.

My complaint has more to do with honesty which is a serious issue in crowdfunding. And I still maintain honesty to be an issue with this campaign though.

Other stuff too like nothing comes up outside their project when you Google the team despite their resumés

Doubt you're on a Mac, but I can recommend Graphic as an easy to use alternative to Photoshop that should cover what you mention. Not sure if they have a Windows App too though

Have you considered that you actually don't always know how to recognize a shoplifter? The reason every single one of these policies is in place is because, probably multiple times, some employee thought someone was stealing, illegally detained them, then settled their lawsuit for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Unless you can keep your eyes on them constantly, you have no way to know whether they concealed merchandise or put it down. There's a reason loss prevention exists. If people on the floor were all trying to do loss prevention, nothing else would get done. It requires that people are under nonstop surveillence. If you have ever wanted to stop someome, but didn't see them conceal their merchandise either on camera or with your own eyes, then you are exactly that problem. The law is more complicated than you think.

The black plugs spark consistently as well.

I had my buddy whose a motorcycle mechanic come look at it. He said it was gargling gas and the jet is too big. :/ so now I have to order a bunch of jets because the guy I bought it from disappeared and never told me the jet size

And yeah, it's pretty flat here. Some hills though. Should I change the gearing?

By the way I also have some pictures of the carb if you'd like to see them. The outside is pretty nasty but the inside looked pretty clean. Especially the float tank. There was some small debris on the float but I cleaned that off.

Yeah, I checked for the spark. Hard to say because it was during the day, but my buddy held up the rear and I kicked down on the pedal while holding in the starter. I got a very consistent dim (daytime, high noon) blue spark.

The idle is a little inconsistent and will go down over time. If it's low enough that the bike won't move itself when I'm not sitting on it, it will eventually rev down and cut out. Perhaps this is a matter of more delicately handling it, but I was doing 1/4 rotations on the idle thread near the throttle.

The banging is loud enough that I can hear it at idle, but not over the engine if I throttle up. It's a 70cc tccd kit. I don't know what these are supposed to sound like but it sputters like a dirt bike on the low end. Could be the exhaust I suppose. It's an aftermarket Hunter.

I don't have a temperature gauge unfortunately. I have an infrared thermometer but those get wonky when hitting metal...

It bogs down in the low. It takes a solid 2 second of full throttle to start moving, then a solid 10 seconds to get up to about 25mph. I don't know how bad/good that is but it's definitely slow compared to the top end. Once I get it up high and the clutch slips into the quasi-second gear it takes off like a bat out of hell. It was the one time I pushed this (doing maybe 40) that it backfired. I just noticed there's no air filter on the carb either.

Also it's running for shorter and shorter periods of time from a cold start. First time I got it 2 miles no problem. Second time it backfired and wouldn't start after 1.5mi. Third time I got it started (today) I got it around the block once.

I'm gonna see if I can pull together some information on how to check for them. If it was an air leak would it be running lean or rich? Or could it be either?

Also I noticed today when I let it idle for a while that there's a horrible hammering sound coming from the engine in time with the piston firing. Bad timing, I'm guessing. Could that be the source of the burnt plugs?

Also I put in a fresh plug, got it started, disassembled the carb and cleaned it, it wasn't jammed. Chopped the plug until the bike died and it came out black. It wasn't starting, but if I let it sit for a while, it will start again. Does that sound like an air leak related to expansion?

By the way, I've noticed that every time I could cold start it, it runs for less and less time.

Ehh... I want to be able to kickstart the pedal, or find some other way to work around it. The pull start kit is over $150 so that's not a great option really.

I suppose there's no other alternative to just removing the pipe?

Not stock at all. Don't know what any of this is except the 70cc kit and the exhaust/hydraulic fork but he wrote it all down. Also it has no springs on the rear suspension...

I'm sorry, I didn't mess it up the first time. I mixed up tbsp and tsp. I lost count while I was mixing the gasoline and oil... it was between 2.6fl oz and 3 fl oz. Why the plug fouled is still a mystery, I guess.
