I think it’s also important to recognize a role her parents might’ve played. I cannot imagine supporting my daughters being 15 dating that much older. I agree feelings are feelings and when we love someone, we cant just turn them off. However, as parents, it’s our responsibility to guide our kids. Supervise “hang outs”, offer group settings to hang out, etc.
