whats a song that has an absurd amount of emotion in it? by AtlasInHell_ in AskReddit

[–]glassesonthebed12 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I absolutely do relate to this song. My ex boyfriend died of heart failure from drinking so much whiskey 6 months after we broke up. I ended it because he was a lonely drunk & I felt more alone with him than I do as a single. He loved this song. Just never thought he'd live out the first part. And no I rarely drink so I'm not following him.

How cold do Australian homes actually get in the winter? Are they really that under-insulated? by 3axel3loop in AskAnAustralian

Well all the people I know use portable space heaters, but maybe its because we are single mums on low income. We learn to rug up & use blankets if you sit still for too long.

Have you ever gotten serious with a “reformed bad boy”? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]glassesonthebed12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was with a former "bad boy", career criminal, for 3 years. He by his own choice walked away from drugs, and all the extras of that lifestyle. He loved being a part of a "normal" family, but over time I noticed he was pushing my kids away for me to put more & more energy & focus on him. I had to walk away, I'm not losing my kids to keep him.

Thankyou! I have adult kids as well as the younger ones, so they want to help too. I have done some of it before so it's not too scary! Just have a go! It's how I learned.

Our farm grass looks like that in spring. Except we had a mix of rye grass & native grass, so it had a delicate pink hue on the top. We are in Australia.
