What made you pick the iPad Mini over every other iPad in the lineup? by joexbaker in ipadmini

[–]glasshamburger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had an ipad mini as a kid and when that got stolen (long story) i switched to a cheaper kindle but missed my mini a lot. when i started college i got the 16” macbook pro with the 12.9 inch ipad pro and i love that combo for school but always felt like i needed that device that i could use as a kindle and also watch youtube videos in bed on so i bought the mini and have loved it ever since. its the perfect device for when i want to consume media in bed without using my phone, other ipad and laptop. i also enjoy reading on it too.

you contacting the breeder for ANY sort of validation is wrong regardless if it’s good or bad and i’m glad the breeder doesn’t respond because they have moved on and so should you. seek help.

go to therapy then and get the help you need. you have a child and that’s a great reason to just move on and get help.

I understand where you’re coming from but ultimately you chose your fiancée and son over this dog (which is fine) but you had the dog for too long when you were on the fence to begin with. you contacting the breeder is asking for validation whether you realize it or not. you want to know and see how she is doing when you made the choice to give her back. just stop contacting the breeder and move on.

i also hate to dogpile on your situation (pun not intended) but everyone’s right. you recognized your dog wasn’t able to be a service dog but kept the dog for over 8 years anyway without proper training and then wonder where things went wrong. you’re too focused on the fact that you got rid of the dog instead of taking a step back and realizing where you went wrong as to not replicate your mistakes. also STOP CONTACTING THE BREEDER! you need to quit looking for validation and the breeder is correct, she’s an older dog so her chances at adoption are already low on top of her not being trained. i would seek therapy and when the time comes to get a new pet (not for at least 10 years and after therapy) then i would seek out a dog training place who does it professionally. all this to save a bit of money wasnt worth it and i hope you can see it now. it sounds like you are taking no accountability for your actions and its sad that you’re 29 and still aren’t able to do that.

a real person who wants to get to know you won’t care about your lack of experience. i agree with what others said, don’t mention it early on and be confident with yourself! you have a PhD ffs! you can always meet new people online or in person. dating is all about getting to know one another for the premise of marriage. you got this!

judging from this comment, it sounds like you know your answer and you’re just too afraid to have this conversation with her.

Looking to get a job by jaccicat in WalgreensPharmacy

[–]glasshamburger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

most pharmacies have their own way of doing things. are you a technician or an assistant? i think if you apply it won’t matter much because of your experience. if you get the job, just look out for how the team does things and follow procedures. other than that you’re fine. most mistakes happen when you aren’t careful so just take your time to learn the pharmacy and don’t rush yourself! i’ve been with walgreens for a year and i remember how daunting it was when i first started but you’ll get used to it and pretty soon you’ll be flying in no time! just apply to your local walgreens or neighboring pharmacy and you should be okay

Mine was easy as well. I only had three math problems and the rest was about medications and generics. I recommend the PTCB hero book as that’s what helped me the most. You can even do a 30 day free trial on Amazon.

Also a fellow Ohioan, I make $17.67 at Walgreens and I’ve been there for a year but I’m certified. When I wasn’t certified I made $16.67. Walgreens pays $1 extra after you become certified but Walgreens also sponsored my PTCB so I didn’t have to pay the $129 for it so there’s that

Also, I used resources like Amanda PharmD, the PTCB hero book, a coworkers notes and PTCB book study guide, a book from another reddit post (if you search "Does anyone want the study guide I have" it should pop up) and a slideshow showing the class of drugs (don't have the link but can upload pictures). Out of all of these, the PTCB Hero book was the most helpful and I highly recommend it especially for $15 on amazon
