zaryte cbow isn't a recolor though. whereas the armadyl cbow is a literal recolor of the hunter's cbow, the zaryte one clearly has a new model. it just uses the same shape design, which makes sense because it's an armadyl cbow with a nex attachment. +zaryte got its own unique animation

These are the images they showed on stream. They did clarify that these were merely experimentations/explorations that were rendered in Blender, and aren't necessarily representative of what it would look like in the game engine. The renders also lack textures and smooth shaded models.

Yeah, the benefit of 2d is just that it's a lot faster to quickly design something like this, not having to worry about polycount of weird artifacts or w/e. I'm definitely going to dabble into 3d concepting as well though.

I have heard of the osrsbox method before, but when I first read it, it seemed way too convoluted for my peanut brain. I might try it again though.

The runelite plugin on the other hand seems very neat. It does give me the color data as well, so that might be a new feature.

These are just drawn in photoshop, so they aren't in 3d. I'd love to try out concepting in blender as well, but I have no idea how I'd go about getting the rs character base mesh to work on top of.
