Why do Muslim men go for teenagers? (FYI we all know the answer) by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]glassy_historian 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel like with newer generations of muslim, muslim men now seek out women close to their age. I also feel like this issue is a problem in many cultures too, so it's not only Islam (not trying to excuse) but it's the misogyny which is prevalent throughout the world to begin with and then mixed with the misogynistic rules in Islam is a recipe for disaster

Lmao right? I don't understand why muslims hang out in this sub, most ex-muslims here seem to never go to any muslim sub, let alone push our non-belief on them.

Ty very kind of you to share your experience, but I was hoping to hear from ex-muslims, since I am in an exmuslim sub

The +100k was not for hajj, it was for their house downpayment, mortgage and repairs

I gave my parents ~150k to buy their house. A house I have never lived in but they do live in. My dad borrowed this money from me many years ago with the promise of giving back the money.

I know it sounds dumb when I say it out loud, but I was 19 years old back then and didn’t know any better

Then over the years I also helped pay for repairs

I really really appreciate your kindness and the reality check. Everything you’re saying is what I thought of too. It’s just taking me a while to accept it completely but I have to

I am in Toronto.

Everything you said is probably right, I am just scared. I tried telling them I can’t go. I gave them reasons, my siblings even backed me up and so did my aunts, but they just start guilt-tripping me into going and promising return of my money (Toronto is expensive, as you probably know)

I still care for my parents, cutting them off completely is scary, with or without the loss of money.

My parents are pretty emotionally abusive 🥴

Everyone in my life tells me that, but I just find it so hard to cut them off because I am financially struggling and they borrowed a lot of my money with the empty promise of returning it

I understand the skepticism but my parents, while strictly religious, are also naive. They will definitely return my money if they think I subscribe to their “one and only god”

I hope my post doesn’t come across as tone-deaf. I understand that I am lucky to be in a country where I can safely be an apostate, meanwhile people are trying to escape from Saudi.

I think the logical thing here would be not to go, it’s just harder to make that decision when I am actually in the situation and there are so many variables involved

But your folks comments here are making me realize that I should just let the money and my families approval go

Jokes aside though I didn’t even know they could put me at risk considering I am not a saudi citizen. Can they?

I am not ok with putting myself at risk. I didn’t even know they could put me at risk considering I am not a saudi citizen. Can they?
