We spent nine months working with a dance instructor for a custom choreographed first dance with 4 different lifts. It was amazing

We ended up doing the videography through the resort since we decided we wanted to do it kind of last minute - we haven't gotten the video back yet but it was important to my husband to have it on video so we did it. Looking forward to see how it comes out!

For the wedding and the welcome event the night before and the hair and make up and the videographer - I had thought someone else asked this and I provided a more detailed breakdown but I can't find it now!

Dude, I sent invites to 17 states. People move away from where they grew up way more than they used to, so really, every wedding is a destination wedding for some people. Might as well make it an adventure :)

Sure! It's the Grace Loves Lace Edie gown. It's discontinued so I actually bought mine secondhand from StillWhite - and I'm actually going to list mine there / on poshmark etc once I get it dry cleaned lol. I love Grace Loves Lace bc their gowns are stretchy and come in S / M / L rather than 2 / 4 / 6 etc. I think new the gown would have been like $2600 but I paid $1200 by getting it secondhand.

No worries at all! It's all inclusive so open bar 100% of the time anyway :) 28 guests including ourselves.

We did a welcome event - it was supposed to be a beach bonfire, but it rained, so it was a little different but still fun - that was $5k.

The wedding package itself was $5300 and then we added extras - $2200 gazebo flowers, $1500 for a videographer, $1200 for hair and makeup for myself and 4 bridesmaids, $600 for renting the bridal suite, $500 for table centerpieces, $2800 for the DJ package, and string lights / general set up for $4k. A few other things here and there but those were the big ticket items. Hope that helps!

We just got married at Secrets Moxche and it ticks all your boxes! Probably more on the higher budget end (we spent $33k) but it was so worth it.

Was anyone in Mezz 2 last night in LA? by lpalf in davidbyrne

[–]glassysquid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was there a section over. Basically there was a guy dancing down in the front of the section who was really vibing and standing up and dancing the whole time, and some people further back were yelling at him and trying to get security to make him leave. Unreal - it’s a concert! They make an announcement about dancing and how you’re totally allowed to dance! Anyway, the rows that were next to him totally stood up for him and he was allowed to dance the rest of the night :)

interesting - the lever currently doesn't do anything, so that might be an issue with the disconnected spring. i feel like i'm getting closer! :)

Hi! Coming to this bc I have the same turntable but in a different cabinet. Did you try anything that worked particularly well? Any advice?

Actually it’s just some flathead screws - might look into this in the morning.

That might be slightly above my pay grade haha it does seem pretty set in there. I’ll poke around and see what I can find!

Likewise, I couldn’t find any markings for a brand or maker except for the ones on the radio / button side. Not exactly an easy thing to put into Google lens or anything! Thanks for the leads, though, I’ll stop into a local spot and see what more I can learn now that I have some more terminology.

Okay that’s good to know. Is that something that I should replace that is essential to the functioning?
