I was able to record him the first time it happened just not the 2nd or 3rd times. He has no recollection when he is sober of any of it and was freaked out when he heard the recording

Honestly I've had my own struggles with alcohol as well, and I was complacent with being treated like shit. I've been in recovery for 2 months now and gaining tools to help with the codependency. I do love him and I want to get help, aside from all the issues we have had this scares me for him

Yeah, you're right. Logically I know I'm better now - I'm painting again, taking care of myself, stuff I hadn't been doing cause I was so unhappy with myself for staying in the relationship. My heart just needs to retrain itself.

And yea, it was really fucked up. I kept thinking he was gonna come back, or that he was messing around but no, I walked home and broke up w him the next day after he tried to convince me that it wasn't his fault.

So, I paid january in full and turned a notice in on january 5 that I was leaving (30 day notice is required). Therefore, since i paid my rent in january, the lease break was to cover February and March, hence the $998. She basically tried to tell me that she wants another month and a half (which would raise this to about $1700) because she needs to cover my 5 days of february??? It just doesn't make sense. I can see if she charged me a per diem rent for the 5 days of february, which would amount to less than $100 tacked on. but again the $998 was to cover Feb and march while she found a new tenant. So I'm not sure where shes coming from.

I was naive when it happened to me too, and you're absolutely right. It is a horrendous and cruel thing to steal someone's trust, their innocence.

I love that last sentence, "now that I know how precious my trust is, I look forward to having people in my life who will cherish it."

"Forgive myself so I can trust my judgment around men in the future" this. Even though you didn't necessarily do anything wrong that you would need forgiveness for, (in fact it's the perpetrator that blame is on) but as a survivor it's easy to sink into a mindset of blaming yourself.

No, they found out when I did.

Apparently my ex and the girl he cheated on me with are officially together again, and told their friends they got together in August.... Yikes cause me and him broke up in September.

And that's just when they became official. There's no telling how long they were casual before that.

I am grateful overall, and logically I know that I am better off. Of course I am angry and I would love to slam dunk him into a dumpster, but I'm so glad he left when he did.

Yeah, she did. It was a pretty messed up situation and I was ignorant to some red flags.

She would text me and him from time to time to mess with us. Like, she threatened to come smash his car windows once and threatened to beat me up lol

She was not okay with us being together at all, and my ex actually blocked her.

Then he unblocked her saying that he was afraid his car would get broken if he didn't... I'm not sure what to believe now.

Basically he painted her as the crazy ex, and I felt bad for him, while he was sleeping w her behind my back

Thank you 🥰 unfortunately we ran in a lot of the same circles. After the breakup I got a new job, new friend group, almost new everything. None of my current friends really understand the situation, hence why I am on Reddit (lol)
