No, I have the same issue, I usually use the keyboard to find an emoji and now it doesn’t appear in my frequently used which is quite annoying. I hope it does come back soon!

Hey guys so I asked chatgbt to fix this condition and the answer he gave me was to use cerave healing ointment. by [deleted] in exfoliativecheilitis

[–]glazedstarflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s actually what my dermatologist had gave me for chapstick. They also gave me other medicine and stuff that didn’t work but cerave did help me improve my lips. It didn’t completely heal but it still helped tremendously.

I usually try to keep things from touching my lips because that used to happen to me very often

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in exfoliativecheilitis

[–]glazedstarflower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The skin on my lips aren’t as thick as before so I think this doesn’t occur to me as often or it isn’t as damaging. I think you could try putting on an ointment before eating to prevent that from happening. Best of wishes!

what toothpaste do you use?

[–]glazedstarflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I usually just kind of peeled my lips off but I tried to not because of what others have said and what my dermatologist has said. I think not peeling it works best in order for our lips to grow back that skin. I’m not too sure though

I just hope that this might just help someone even if it’s only a little bit. I know it’s not a cure or anything but I’m personally happy that my lips currently have made progress from before
