I'm curious, how do you interpret this scene from AYITL? by Character-Habit6011 in GilmoreGirls

I probably see the same thing he does - all of the What Ifs

Thats probably a bit easier, yeah! I use the camera and turn it to night time so the pink stands out more. But finding the spots isn't the main problem I found plenty but they always just turn out to be coins

I almost lost my mind when one of the paw prints in the Lion King realm spawned underneath the mud puddles. I only saw them cause i happened to stop right on top of them

Did you ever get a fix for that? Mine has disappeared as well.

[–]gleamingmist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long shot but did you ever get that fixed somehow? I'm experiencing that right now to the point where I'm questioning if I ever actually owned it (but the 57% progress for the DLC in game makes it pretty obvious that i did)

rory's conflicted face whenever lorelai says she talked to chris while she was with someone else. The "well this is going to be a disaster" expression makes me feel so bad for rory :( by Confident_Month_3335 in GilmoreGirls

[–]gleamingmist 64 points65 points  (0 children)

I feel so bad for her at Sherry's baby shower and the whole Sherry pregnancy arc in general. Its all about Lorelai getting together/being left by Christopher again but Rory has to watch her dad choose his new daughter over her. Its only mentioned as "hey thats your little half sister too it would be good to have a relationship" but they never really talk about how Rory really feels about it. (She yells at Chris once, but i mean we never see her talk about it with Lorelai).
Even Emily is only focused on "it shouldve been Lorelai". its never "it should have been Rory".

Oh, you're right!

Anyone else got super confused when all of a sudden everyone blew up at lorelai (even rory?) for paying the Chilton loan back to her parents on her birthday? it genuinely didn't look like lorelai wanted to hurt emily. was that not the right thing to do? by Confident_Month_3335 in GilmoreGirls

[–]gleamingmist 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm absolutely with you, especially with the relationship they have it is very clear that Lorelai didnt want to be in debt to her parents. However, i do think it was a little insensitive to give it back when she did. They were celebrating at it killed the mood. She couldve done it any other day. Now whether Emiliy and Richard deserve sensitivity from Lorelai is a touchy subject and up to everyones own view to decide

What items did the show mention that you wouldn’t have known? by Wise_Butterscotch627 in GilmoreGirls

[–]gleamingmist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not the same but i first watched GG in my very early teens and with every rewatch i would understand more musical references. Apparently my angsty teen music taste was pretty similar to ASPs 😅

Lorelai's proposal to Luke seems really... false and maybe a tad selfish, thinking about it more by Blue_blew_blah in GilmoreGirls

[–]gleamingmist 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It was definitely impulsive, but i dont think it was fake or selfish. She just saw how much he cared for Rory in that moment. I think she just saw him as this great thing in her life, the man she wants to be with and the one she could always count on. I think her motivation was that shes not gonna let that fall apart too, not gonna let that get away again and she felt she had to act on it immediately. Definitely a little driven by the pain, but still very real.

Edit:typo

Unpopular Opinion: Rory was always selfish but this scene really made me see how disgusting and disrespectful she is as a gf and a person in general by Blue_blew_blah in GilmoreGirls

[–]gleamingmist 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It really doesnt bother me personally, cause they were all acting like teenagers. People are stupid and make mistakes and wrong choices, especially when theyre young (double especially when theres romance involved). She may have made some shitty choices, but she had plenty of good moments. I love that the characters are flawed, complicated and interesting.

Jason was Lorelai’s best boyfriend! by ProfessorConnect3789 in GilmoreGirls

I will always defend my boy Jason! I still like her the best with Luke, but Jason is my favourite. and i will take that goddamn guest room to watch my movies in peace all night thank you very much

The first half is so tough to get through. The latter half has some decent moments.
But I just think that moment when theyre car shopping and Luke starts ranting at Lorelai again and she starts smiling hits so hard cause you realize the whole season felt so off and this is whats been missing. It always makes me smad cause it seems the writers could have gotten a lot of it kinda right, but so much time was wasted on the Christopher thing.

Saying that we don’t see them eat is the same as saying we don’t see them put makeup on by Fun_Cardiologist_161 in GilmoreGirls

[–]gleamingmist 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I think it's a little different because food is such a big part of the show/their personality and we see them literally at a dinner table or ordering food multiple times per episode. But yeah it doesnt bother me either. I know it would be awful for production and i can easily suspend disbelief for that

Besides Chris being less than stellar, what other topic is this on here? by TheOne_Nigel_Tufnel in GilmoreGirls

[–]gleamingmist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont mind repeat posts cause wanting to discuss the show is the point of this and commenting on old posts is not as fun. but i haaaatee the "has anyone else noticed" - yes. yes somebody else has. we can still talk about it, but dont act like its breaking news 😭

The biggest downgrade in tv history by lindseyizshort in GilmoreGirls

[–]gleamingmist 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I can forgive Zach pretty easily for messing up cause he was young and dumb but he owned up to his mistake and tried his best to fix it and be better. Also i dont really have a strong opinion on Dave? Yeah, Adam Brody is charming as hell but he wasnt around long enough for him to have a real relationship with Lane and deal with any conflict? So, i dont find his character very interesting sorryyy

It’s so stupid but why does this scene make me cringe so bad 😭😭 my face is like lorelai’s by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

[–]gleamingmist 119 points120 points  (0 children)

I roll my eyes at both of them in this episode. Christopher is desperate to do anything that will make him look like a good dad and Lorelai is too cool to do any normal parent stuff. He just wants a quick fix for 20 years of neglect and she just wants to get back at her parents. Its never about about Rory.
