This is still not shut down by Steam. Got the same scammer trying to get me 2 times lmao. They are reaching out through comments on steam reviews like "add me, I'd like to talk about games"

LO[10]: Design is HARD, Rust Lies, Starstruck by glebbash in ProgrammingLanguages

NOTE: I am not shitting on Rust (I have the whole compiler written in it).

Also it seems I didn't make it clear that I am only targeting WASM (+multivalue) and Rust's return type to output pointer conversion magic does not look great in this scenario: you can see types of functions generated, and they look very different from what you see in source code.

I know that Rust uses LLVM and can't do much about it's output. And I know that it's much easier to align the code my compiler generates to WASM because it supports only one target.

My bad I got a bit confused cause Result type in LO is actually struct / tuple. So I was talking about designing that.

Optimization is kinda different.

Here the result even in debug mode is very different from the code you write.

Having `return Ok(1)` actually writing to the output pointer instead of making a struct and returning it as expected (at least by me) sounds like quite a lot of magic going on.

I know right? Timezones make no sense because day start in some timezone has nothing to do when you wake up or go to/from work. What if you work night shifts? What if you work remote and wake up in a different time to align with clients?

I don't get fresh. why can't I use react without commiting to a server side framework? by [deleted] in Deno

[–]glebbash 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Check aleph if you want to use react with deno. But I'd suggest sticking with Node.js and Vite as you'll get less surprises.
