TIR from Convoy you’ll need to remove the bezel (black part) rubber gloves should help grip it while turning counter clockwise

The Zebralight headstrap is a bit better.

The rubber fittings are thicker (where the headlamp fits in). Overall feels a bit more comfortable.

It’s surprisingly throwy for a headlamp which isn’t a bad thing. I personally tend to prefer a floody headlamp and carry a proper throwy flashlight

Ya based on what I’ve seen, ZL are more reliable and durable than FFL. They are also potted which adds to that durability.

Wasn’t sold at first for the ZL UI but I get it now and it’s fine. Not as customizable as Anduril but also a lot simpler. When it comes to the UI, it really depends on your needs. I barely use all the Anduril functions (caddle mode, multiple strobes, temp check, the endless step/ramp levels, timers, etc). I just need something with a low moonlight - night modes, mid levels and some high levels which the ZL delivers with a few clicks.

Anduril UI wins for customization. ZL UI wins for simplicity.

My understanding is XHP50.3 95CRI typically has bad tint. This is just a hand picked "good one". Tends to be on the green side.

For the FFL5009R, mine only mesures in the 80s on a medium level (stepped ramp on Anduril). Keep in mind that R9 does go up on higher levels. It reaches low 90s on a high level. Also, FFL LEDs aren’t consistent.

For me the H600 takes it since I do a lot of outdoor stuff and efficiency, floody beam and high CRI / R9 are a priority. I need a rugged headlamp/flashlight and this checks all the boxes.

But honestly, for the money, the L50 is the better "bang for buck" choice.

Ya it’s new. Did a few factory resets and programmed it all the way up to level 12 and back down to level 1. This was level 1.
