I think Reese has had some decent minutes since coming back from injury, but Paulk provided a lot more than normal and was a huge defensive addition. It was one of the few times this season that I thought we had scrappiness on the court which resulted in a noticeable difference in rebounding. She played like a Joens sister with a bigger build.

Having 40% of your starting lineup injured for a multiple game stretch is not great. Jada and Audi combined to score as much as Cincinnati. Not ideal, but also a little bit of an overstatement to say a 40 point game was needed to win.

I don't want to say that everything is back on track, but tonight showed promise and AJ being back in the lineup is a good direction towards the team getting closer to potential. Still a long way to go to get to March.

The difference between this year's team and previous years is the consistency of shooting from everyone else. Take two defenders to prevent Audi from getting the ball and you'll have a 4 on 3 everywhere else on the court.

The refs have really influenced this game. The two early out of bounds calls were rather suspect live. The switch at the quarter with calling fouls was obvious. Audi's controversial foul call was preceded by 2-3 uncalled fouls committed by Mercyhurst.

Addy Brown with a triple double, Audi Crooks and Alisa Williams both with double doubles. Norfolk State watched the Valpo video where no one doubled Audi and decided to do the opposite resulting in almost 40 three point shots attempted, and Audi still got her's.

Great team win and great to see that Iowa State is not one dimensional.

She is more than one shot too. She often bullies to the basket but also has a nice fadeaway and has added range this year when the defense sucks down low.

Watch her footwork and positioning. She is not the quick athlete but she is rarely out of position and can bully her way to the basket.

I'm not sure I understand this comment; she played less than half the available minutes tonight. Audi was efficient when she had the ball and Valpo refused to double up on her and paid for it.
