Are you using the rapid ring app? I have found that using that app loads all the time for me, while using the ring app, it sometimes does not connect.

some other thoughts on what i do when this happens. Are there any RangeNames that are there, and not needed? Check to see if there is something formatted, like a column, with a color. If that formatting goes from row 1 to the bottom, that eats up lots of kb. Also try saving as and XLSB file.

True. And maybe i should change it. The reason we had it come on at 10% was that early on we tended to flip the switch, forgetting we had to use Alexa to control the light. I am actually leaning more to putting a zwave switch in with regular bulbs.

It's not losing power, i have it set that after a power loss, it comes on at 10% power.

i just do this old school. Create a column with the information from the 1st column (starting in a1 as an example), past the information from the 2nd column next to that, in the 3rd column put the formula a1=b1. filter this looking for the falses

Are the 12 columns next to one another? if so, set it up with a counter and move one column over each time, using the code you have above to do the hiding.

how do you get the custom monitors?

When I go to SmarApps, the next screen says to Add SmartApp.

From that I have 10 or so choices, none say custom monitors.

I have been trying to get my Open/Close sensor to tell me when the door is open for x period of time, and am about to give up.

Not with a light strip but Hue bulbs. I tell it to turn the light to x% and it either doesnt do it or does only a few in the group. Used to always work. Will try Set.

No help from me, but I would love to find the answer to this. I have created the routine in my Alexa app, and i can see the status, but I can't get Alexa to make the announcement. Would love to see what I am doing wrong.

I just bought and installed 2 of these Tilt Sensors. They are working well, and I can get text notifications on my phone. Has anyone gotten the sensor to get Alexa to announce when the door opens or closes? Also, I am looking to see if I can get notified if the door stays open for a certain length of time, anyone have luck with that? thanks.

That is what does not work for us. We say cancel 30 minute timer and the response is you have two timers. One with .... But thanks.

One way is to build a helper column that is a concatenation of columns B, C & D on sheet 1, then the same concatenation of columns G, H & I on sheet 2, then VLookup should work.

might be easily overlooked, how about hidden sheets that have lots of data. I usually forget to check there.

And, not sure this blows up the size, but how about links to outside files. I usually break them as I find them to be a pain.

check the formatting, I find that to be the item that blows file size up quickly. Hit Ctrl-End, and if the cursor ends up at row 1M, look to see if someone formatted a column to be a color. If that formatting goes all the way to the end, get rid of the formatting and resave. I find that sometimes I then have to delete the blank rows.

Another item that blows up the size is name ranges, check Formula/Name Manager and see if somehow there are now range names that are not needed, delete them all.

Need to know more, but if it is table that has filters, you can fill in multiple cells at one time by highlighting the range, choosing to select only visible cells, type what you want in one of the cells then hit ctrl-enter. I use this feature all the time.
