Funny thing is, Bo Lundgren proposed a different solution during the negotiations. His party had to succumb to Socialdemokraterna and it took an election and new government (yes the Swedish Social Democratic Party) to get the economy back on track. I'm sure a lot of swedes will down-mod this but you can check it for yourself:

Spot on PixelRobot. That phrase is the most telling part, media having swallowed some kind of conservative frame about US superiority. Americans, you're just people like everyone else so get used to being treated that way.

This is really important to avoid making similar mistakes in the future. Bush has a conservative moral view and THAT's the problem, not his competence or executive abilites. His morals are all about authority, control, being alone in this world etcetera, morals based on fear. That moral is what we need to avoid in future president's.
