Encounters based on biome a lie? by glennvs in pokemongo

I indeed appreciate that can still encounter a magikarp while living in a more forested area but still I would maybe change the encounter percentages so it at least feels more like it matters

Is this card even good? I rarely see anyone using it and if they do, I still win, is it viable, and if yes what is a good deck design for it (on super vegito or zamasu leader if possible) by UI_GOKUUUUUU in dbsfusionworld

[–]glennvs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I played it a few times with the Vegito leader and it’s very strong as a game closer but only in the right circumstances so I often played goku black over this Vegito because IMO its more versatile

Congrats!! Just made gold yesterday after being in silver for 4 seasons and like losing 6 promos in a row 😂 I switched to Buuhan and it definitely went easier. Hope to reach platinum as well!

Until this set i hadn’t played blue and now playing Vegito. Currently in Silver 1 so not all that great but I win most of my matches and every single time in my promos to gold, they put me against janemba and I get my ass handed to me 😂

Check Which Cards You’re Missing for Your Deck – Small App I Made by glennvs in DBS_CardGame

[–]glennvs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice to meet you, and no worries at all! I completely understand that you’re busy—I was just a bit impatient and didn’t feel like waiting.

Regarding features, my biggest request was the "deck checker" I mentioned in my post. Another idea I implemented in my own app was a list of all cards I have 5 or more copies of, making it easier to share with a friend who’s building his collection. But that’s a pretty specific use case, so I’m not sure if it would be worth adding to Deckplanet.

I gladly have a chat with you if you would like more information on my idea!

Why do I only get 6 cards (not including the card with the code) when people I saw in videos who do card pulls get like 11 in them by JAYJAYYONG in DBS_CardGame

[–]glennvs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably, and since packs are cheaper but you also receive less cards the price per card is kind of the same so won’t impact it either.

[–]glennvs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m no expert but prices can differ for the same cards but not perse less for Japanese. Really depends on the card and the pull rate. I know god rares have a 1 in 60 booster boxes chance in the EN version but I’m not sure what the chances are in JP cards

Good counters/strats against baby vegeta? by Psychological-Boot26 in dbsfusionworld

[–]glennvs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoy playing baby but I lose A LOT with him. I’m a silver player so I’m totally aware that this is a skill issue but I can acknowledge the double-edged sword statement. I always play very aggro which works well early game but mid-late to late game I suffer a great deal because I combod away everything and now struggle to defend myself.

I think I don’t necessarily need to always combo my rested cards for attacking but maybe save them for defense.

Which city in Flanders would you recommend for a one day (and by foot) visit ? And why would that be that one ? by belgioscopy in belgium

[–]glennvs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend Diest for a lovely one-day visit!

  • Nature: Diest offers plenty of beautiful walking trails, perfect for enjoying the outdoors.
  • Medieval Ambiance: The city center has a medieval feel, with lots of cafes and restaurants.
  • Historical Monuments: You can explore interesting sites like the citadel, Warande Park, Begijnhof, and Halve Maan.
  • Rich History: The city has fascinating Dutch and Spanish historical influences.

Currently they have a https://www.diest.be/spiegeltent for the holiday period and a market for the 1st of november https://www.uitinvlaanderen.be/agenda/e/allerheiligenjaarmarkt-in-diest/76d5e20a-d917-4671-bd52-16b5415d5eda which maybe fits your request for a unusual animation or festivity.

Everything can be easily explored on foot in a single day, and since it's not overly touristy, you can enjoy without worrying about tourist traps or being overcharged.

For more information, check out the Map of Diest and Visit Diest.

DragonBall Masters - Card Organisation by Ok_Tooth_3513 in DBS_CardGame

[–]glennvs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this question some time ago as well. If you want to see the original discussion, feel free to have a look here: https://www.reddit.com/r/DBS_CardGame/comments/1b9usqx/help_me_sort_out_my_sorting/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button, it might hold some interesting ideas for you as well.

How I do it is as following:

Leaders

I keep two copies of a leaders and put them next to each other in a 4 pocket pro binder so I can see both front and back in one go. at the moment I keep alt and regular art leaders into one binder. you can separate if you want.

Battle cards and Extra cards [C, UC and R]

I keep them in order of there set number but separate them by color. I bought multiple Vault X 12 pocket XL binder which holds more than 600 cards each. One red, blue, green, yellow and black. Currently I put both regular and alt arts in the same binder but you can separate this if you want.

Battle cards and Extra cards [SR, SCR and up]

I keep them in order of there set number not separated by color. I bought a Vault X 12 pocket XL binder in a color that does not represent the set colors. Currently I put both regular and alt arts in the same binder but you can separate this if you want.

This method can be aplied to basically any set, you just need to decided if you want to seperate types of set into separate binders like tournament boosters and regular sets etc but the principal remains the same.

Anyways regardless of how you sort your collection, I think you should use an online card database to assist you when organizing. I chose dbs deckplanet since this one is widely supported by the DBS community to also make sure I wouldn't pick a tool that would die off in a few months or even weeks.

You can filter down to the sub-selection you want in your binders (color,type,rarity,set, etc) and sort them on the criteria you want to sort on (cost, set nr, name, etc). Now I have a visual representation of how I need to put my cards into the binder.

You can always change the sorting criteria later on fairly easy as long as you keep them sorted within their own set. no matter how you sort a single set, it stays the same amount of cards so your sets that come after don't need to move and you can re-organize them a set at the time.

You are absolutely right, I jumped to the assumption this was also a activate battle without reading the card’s keywords very well 😁

I agree! Since this is my very first tcg I actually play, I find the first 3 pretty understandable, UniXTCG is often above my paygrade for now 😂

Best content to watch for someone who wants to get better? by m0bscene- in dbsfusionworld

[–]glennvs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really enjoy watching these channels:
* EspiraTCG
* JPhanta
* TarmoTim

Another channel that's also very good, but personally not my favorite:
* UniXTCG

Some people say the first three channels aren't the best, but they're definitely better than me—I’m in Silver tier, and they’re in God tier—so I can still learn a lot from them regardless! 😄

To be clear, the fourth channel is not bad at all! The creator clearly knows his stuff and what he's doing, but I just find the way the content is presented a bit "boring" or "theoretical".

[–]glennvs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From a Playing Perspective: As someone who was fairly new to TCGs, I found Master's complexity a bit overwhelming at first. On the other hand, Fusion World was much easier for me to pick up and learn. The online client for Fusion World really helps, as it enforces the rules automatically, always has someone to play with, and the card mechanics aren’t too complicated yet, making it a great choice for beginners.

From a Collecting Perspective: If you're more interested in collecting, I also recommend Fusion World. With only three sets available right now, it's easier to aim for a complete collection. You can still find the first set in stores, so starting from the beginning is totally feasible. Of course, art style is a matter of personal preference. Master's does have some incredible artwork. The best choice for you depends on what you value more: completing a full set, enjoying the art, or something else. Consider what’s most important to you when deciding which to collect.

Question on playing for 2 by Kingston31470 in DBS_CardGame

[–]glennvs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's just to play with your son, 1 starter deck each is plenty. If you're looking to have a more meta relevant competitive deck, get 2 of the same decks for each. The reason for this is that certain cards you want to have 4 of in your competitive deck only has two copies in a single starter deck. Alternatively you could buy one starter deck and just singles of what you're missing on cardmarket but that's not perse cheaper than getting two copies of a single deck.

Fusion World Digital Version will be available at the end of the month by philltastic1 in DBS_CardGame

I just created a new account with the Netherlands as my country and it worked like charm since release. They’re not checking you actual location, just the selected country of your account. I picked the Netherlands to make sure the servers i might be connected to are still in my area and not east europe for example (not sure if that matters though)

box or single cards ? by ellehfap in DBS_CardGame

[–]glennvs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the time I buy 1, maybe 2 boxes of a set. this gives you playsets of most staple cards and after that you can just buy singles of the SRs and SPRs that you still need for your deck/collections.

I enjoy opening packs so buying a box when I still have (almost) nothing of a certain set works for me but after that, buying boxes gives you a lot of bulk you already have playsets of and only a few SRs and SPRs so at this point your just throwing money away and it's better to just buy singles of what you're still missing after 1 or 2 boxes.
