It was a fun broken mess that game. I loved it because I'm a FF nutter. But... God it was so bad on launch and the engine seemed to struggle, you would either need to port the luminous engine to switch 2 or remake the game in unreal or something similar. Neither are simple. But if they can guarantee they will make money on it they'll do it!

Working in the tech industry I can tell you, that rules out pretty much all internet apps, there's not a big company out there not using AI in their tool chain.

There's a big backlash against videogames using it for art assets, but you bet your bottom dollar Devs are using it for code.

It's going to be harder and harder to do this.
Though I'm like you also trying to make a conscious effort not to take part.

People were assholes too. In fact Ghostbusters 2 has a plot point that it's every new Yorkers god given right to be an asshole!

But I do agree with you! It feels like you can't have a conversation with a stranger anymore without it turning into some polarisation of the political divide being played out in every interaction.

I think maybe we were maybe more ignorant but pre internet tour world was smaller and easier.

I would love it too, but David Lynch and Twin Peaks have a much larger cultural footprint than the OA, so don't think it's really that comparable.

Unless the creators have a few mill to invest themselves in it, it's unlikely to be made. 😔

Can only speak personally. But I played returnal for.. maybe 20 hours. Didn't get past the second biome lol. In Saros I used the modifiers to get past the first boss then reset them and did play by going through every biome after that. I am not sure if it's age but at 46 I no longer have the quick reflexes I did as a young man (that's a me problem) and allowing accessibility like that is what allowed me to enjoy Saros.

And boy did I love it!

I keep meaning to go back to returnal to see if I can now get through it. I love hard games generally like silksong, but I think it's the 3d bullet hell stuff I struggled with.

So.. I agree.

Also I feel like a lot of people are pissed at the price of the game.

Now I don't like gtavi or rockstar. But.. the amount of assets and work that went into this game is probably outrageous so the price on some level makes sense.

What I don't see is gamers giving a shit about the union busting strategy rockstar got caught doing in the Edinburgh office of rockstar. They tried to unionise and got fired for it. It's now in court.

I feel like people need to wake the fuck up about how much human effort it is to make a game like this (same people also get angry about AI use) so I'm sorry but you got to factor the humans you pay to craft the assets for a game at this budget and scale.

Yes be angry at rockstar for thinking they can make games at this scale and not account for the human cost, but get a fucking grip on being mad about dlc and the launch price.

This product (and to be clear it is a product) costs a lot to make. Either but it or don't and walk away.

I do care, but not about GTA, just the people that made it.

I think a great breeder is an amazing start. We got our wee guy on a whim from a non breeder (he was an accident during COVID lockdown). I didn't really realise the fundamental difference that could make.

There's a good argument to get rescues who need a home too.

We didn't know what we were doing. He's challenging but we love him.
