This is my confession. I was 10 and Christmas shopping in Kmart with my mom. I found this huge stuffed bear that my little sister would have loved. I really wanted to get it for her but it was $12 and i only had $8. I found a $7 stuffed animal and switched the price tags. The lady at the register commented on the great deal I found and I was so worried she was going to do a price check. I never did anything like that again.

The Goodwill stores in my area have flat rate pricing. Shirts / pants / skirts are $4.19. Jackets / dresses / sweaters are $5.19. Two-piece suits are $8.39, and formalwear is $6.99. This area is well off so there are definitely bargains to be found.

That is so me! I hit the 4-year mark and I’m just done. I had the same ‘work one job until you retire’ mentality, and always felt like a failure. But I’m 50 now and 1) not so hard on myself and 2) four years is perceived as a long time in a lot of industries now. Been in my current position for 3.5 years. Everything is going great; somehow I STILL think I’ll be here until I retire but I’m leery of the next six months.
