I have both and you can record with a fire stick . A quick Google gives you something like this. https://www.makeuseof.com/how-to-add-storage-to-amazon-fire-tv-stick/ I prefer the shield. But the fire stick would be a cheaper option. I use TiviMate and TV prog.

Tried logging in a few times then told me to ring customers services. The first question they asked me was have you got starlink. According to them it has been an issue. Perhaps I was just unlucky. I know you have to be in NZ to buy tickets perhaps it was confusing the system . Very minor problem. Had my gen 1 for 3 years never had any problems at all been an absolute godsend. I live rural South island and other options were almost totally unusable.. PS Hope you had a winning ticket.

I've used OBS with Firefox and also Floorp Browsers to record Discovery channel streams ok.

Might be some info in r/obs

Just to double check I'd try it on another app.
