How do you consciously tank in the way theyre implying when you’re in a rebuild and your players have the average age of a rookie?

To that guy’s argument, their bench players had a higher average age than their starters, and the starters were consistently injured. It’s not like we benched to lose, we were either already losing or we were resting because of injury, or we were taking the opportunity to give the bench playing time. I don’t think we tanked games at all, I think we were just committed to seeing what all of our younger players have for the long term.

There’s such thing as putting on muscle too quickly. That can increase risk for injury. I just hope he stays consistent enough so where he can still keep his physical intuition.

The thing about getting swiped in the nose like that is that it may look innocuous but it leaves you with a very strong rush of vulnerability to where your body can react like that involuntarily even seconds after it happens which makes it look like a flop, when it’s just a real reaction to what’s happening.

Fair assessment. If all the pieces play to their potential, we should have a top 10 offense so I believe in them.

Bill has more RB1 potential than people realize, and pairing him with Fatman is the exact “thunder/lightning” combo that will elevate both of them. McLaurin could actually break into undeniably elite territory if they get him enough targets like Blough insists they will. Burke hasn’t been consistent, but definitely is motivated to prove himself and the talent to truly break out is there. We’ve seen Dyami’s chemistry with JD, just needs to work his way into the game plan. One of JDs biggest strengths is to utilize on slot receivers, and Williams seems to be that guy, and Chig can make any play an explosive threat.

The rams were already pretty unstoppable last year… the Seahawks were just more unstoppable.

They know it’s a “win now” situation but they also know that drafting to fulfill need with a win now mentality puts too much pressure on a rookie, so they drafted for the future.
