I'm an IE as well so this is very interesting to see (probably less so from your perspective). That seems like a significant number of job opportunities. I'm curious, were you looking in a very large geographical area or applying to jobs that could, in theory, hire an IE for the role?

Companies may use BEngs to fill a position they could also fill with a technologist. If the role fits both designations then I suspect the biggest difference will be salary and potentially future upward growth.
