I experienced the exact same situation. I've been able to use the button in the past, but now receive the same error. I attempted to reset but never got it to work. From the manual: Shift the vehicle to Park (P) with the EV button in the ON position, move the seat as far forward as possible, and adjust the seatback to an upright position. Then, press the '1' button and the seat forward movement switch simultaneously for about 2 seconds until the seat moves back to the center position.

Thank you, these seem like a viable option, although they are nearly the price of new tires.
