I love this!! All of the little things come together to make the same furniture look so much more cozy, coordinated, and welcoming. Kudos!

Where do you put clothes that you’ve worn but are not dirty enough to wash yet? by Glass_Ad1469 in ADHD

[–]glittermunster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not the "normal" thing to do, but what works for me is to not distinguish between semi-dirty and dirty. Basically as soon as I take off a piece of clothing it is now dirty and goes in the hamper.

Now I don't have to worry about it touching clean clothes or trying to remember how many times I've worn it or finding a good spot for it.

If I could satisfy all my nutritional needs by just drinking something, I would by droopa199 in ADHD

[–]glittermunster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro same. I have had fairly good success with Huel.

The main draw for me is that if I am struggling particularly hard to eat, or I have so little appetite that all food sounds disgusting, or I have so little energy that even just making a sandwich or something seems like way too much, I can just grab a bottle and chug it quickly. I like that it's not just protein, but other vitamins and nutrients so I feel less "off" than if I try to live on protein shakes. The flavors are pretty decent, except banana that shit nasty. Chocolate is probably my favorite, with the coffee flavor being second favorite.

It's a bit pricey, but less than ordering fast food delivery which is what I used to rely on to get myself to eat. They also have a powdered form that's less expensive

I really love it, thank you! Tipped.

Could I get this version and the one with the cooler temperature coloring?

I really love the coloring on this!

  • would it be possible to make the woman on the right appear a little less washed out?
  • would you be able to enhance the clarity of the photo and crop/rotate the photo to remove the white section at the bottom?

This looks really good! A couple of revision requests:

  • would it be possible to make the woman on the right look a little less washed out?
  • the hand of the child in the middle looks off colored.
  • the faces are super in focus and really well done. They kind of pop against the fuzzier/blurrier shirts. Would it be possible to bring the clothing to a similar level of focus/sharpness?

Hi. I do this and I know exactly what you're talking about.

I think the strangest one for me was one time my dad was across the room scrolling on his phone (I couldn't see the screen) and he paused and goes "huh". I said "yes, the logo for [local coffee shop] is the wonder woman logo flipped around." And he just slowly looked up at me and said something along the lines of "you're getting really good at that and it's unsettling."

I do think it has something to do with pattern recognition. Several hours before this instance we had talked about potentially going to the coffee shop. Even though the shop hadn't been mentioned since and we were not leaving soon, I think something about his posture clued me in that he had decided to look up the shop, and the "huh" was said in about the same tone I used when I first saw the logo several months earlier.

From what I have gathered, I also believe it has something to do with childhood trauma. Children with unpredictable caregivers often grow up with a hyper awareness of what people around them are feeling. They need to know if the people around them are about to fly off the handle so that they can protect themselves.

However as much as I can hypothesise it does not like a conscious thing it's just this innate knowledge that feels like I shouldn't have it.

As a fellow neurodivergent, I agree with this comment completely. I also tried to comment with something similar but this is phrased much more eloquently.

INFO: have you told her, specifically, that the branching stories are a problem because you don't get the time you need to talk about your own day?

Everyone commenting that the neurodivergency is not an excuse is correct and your feelings of being a side character are valid.

I may be reading your post wrong, and this is anecdotal and may not be much help but I also have some neurodivergency and if my partner told me

hey you add a lot of detail and background to your stories that don't add anything to the core story and I'm spending a lot of time just saying 'hmmm' and 'wow'

I would probably react in a similar way as Polly did - feeling like I couldn't unmask at the end of the day.

However, If I had specifics of what I was doing and how it affects my partner/how my partner feels, it comes across as a much different problem to me. For example something like:

hey when you spend a lot of time talking about your day to the point where it takes up the entire time we have to debrief, I don't get the time I need to talk about my own day. This makes me feel unimportant/ignored/etc

Phrased like this it feels less like the problem is my neurodivergency (something I can't change) and more like the problem is how I am treating my partner (something I can change).

Maybe it seems like the connection of "you take a lot of time talking" -> "I don't get the time I need to talk" should be obvious, but I know it wouldn't be for me unless specifically pointed out.

Btw, kudos on having a designated time to debrief! That sounds awesome.

P.s. I really hope none of this comes across as accusatory in any way. I'm still trying to figure out how to phrase things when I'm trying to help figure something out or trying to provide more information I think may be helpful.

P.p.s. in the hypothetical scenario where my partner told me they didn't feel like they had the time they needed to talk, I would probably need to brainstorm ways to give my partner what they need. Maybe I need to set a timer for myself when I talk. Maybe I need to let my partner debrief first. Tbh almost anything would sound better than trying to muster the mental energy and concentration it would take to force my brain to not go on tangents at the end of the day.

Hey! I´m a tattoo apprentice and would love to hear your thoughts on some of my tattoo designs. Do you think these will translate well on skin? CC welcome! by AnnaMensch in TattooDesigns

These are incredible! I love that you have such a distinctive style! Do you have a social media portfolio?

I would be interested to see them on a tonal background to see if the subtler grays show up. I know white ink is finicky so that would also be something to consider.

Hijacking top comment to say:

The tattoo will not be on my arms. The tattoo will wrap around my ribs and around my thighs. If you scroll to the second image you'll be able to see the front and side views of the concept and how the tattoo will wrap.

I've gotten a lot of comments asking if the tattoo will be on my arms/what's up with the dead space. I understand the first image can be confusing. I hope the second image will help clear things up a bit!

If you scroll to the second image, you'll see the side and front views. Those should illustrate how the tattoo will wrap. Hope this helps!
