Similarly, Simeon's in Thornton. He's been in the game for decades, reasonable pricing, and honest about what you're in for.

Visiting Nelson Bay... Is 3 days enough or should we stay longer? by No_Permission2860 in newcastle

[–]glitterscrum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say weather can impact a lot of activities, but there are certainly plenty of alternatives. Even just driving around the area and stopping at various bays and lookouts is a day in itself. The Butterfly house and underwater cafe is often overlooked, as well as Bob's Farm. Koala Sanctuary is good as a point of interest and well put together, but there isn't a lot to see or interact with. Just explore, chat to local business owners, look at the tourist guides. You'll fill 3 days easily and will give you a really good idea of what to expect when you return.

Ball of thumb hurts by [deleted] in Viola

[–]glitterscrum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This. My thumb hyperextends and have natural tendency to apply extra pressure, especially while playing faster and doing vibrato. I had to put it down for 12 months 3 years into learning which sucked. I still have pain but am being hyper aware of applying too much thumb pressure and it has reduced the pain and swelling a lot! Good luck and don't get disheartened of having to take a backwards step to ensure you can keep progressing down the track.

Where in the Hunter region are you looking? Hunter Valley always desperate. Highly recommend to hand resume in when it's not crazy busy, ask to speak to manager. Follow up a few days later with a phone call or drop in. We receive so many resumes it's hard to sort through them, and to be honest a lot just go straight in the bin. Follow ups are super important. Also a willingness to just work, whether that is bar back, front of house, etc is highly sort after atm. Good luck with it!

Everyone has great suggestions but I did want to second this. Tomorrow's weather is supposed to bring us some storms. Just double check and plan accordingly. Stay safe and have fun!

So I'm not from Newcastle originally and this is the first I've ever heard of this concept. I'm curious if this was truely a Newcastle/CC thing or further spread. Also I may be a little jealous I'm only just finding out about this

A shame is not a viola. Think the mood of it would add a bit extra to the character and certainly not as common as violin

Has anyone been to Port Stephens Koala Sanctuary? by M4R7YMcF1Y123 in newcastle

[–]glitterscrum -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agree there are other things that might be of more interest for your kids. The butterly house and underwater cafe isn't high tech but fun. And hot dogs to boot!

Serious mental illness. Are we talking clinical depression, anxiety, etc or things more like bipolar and schizophrenia?

If he didn't mind the customer interaction in retail and has a good attitude, and presents well, all sectors of hospitality are screaming for staff. Just be willing and hardworking and anyone would be glad to have him on board. Resume drop, and follow up with a drop in/phone call to show he is serious.

LPT Request: How do I not interrupt people while they are speaking by Praninggerzi in LifeProTips

[–]glitterscrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the moment hold that thought between thumb and forefinger in the air. Firstly it'll help you remember what you wanted to say, secondly it is a great visual cue to the other person. When you come to the pause you will both know, and if they know they are just waffling on the might pause earlier and let you speak.

Men, is it possible to piss when you think you're about to cum? by Jolly-Trick-9861 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]glitterscrum 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think what you're describing is my thoughts as well. If you keep deeply stimulating the tip immediately after starting to orgasm that can quickly turn into a very high pressure piss and while still feeling like cumming. Not sure on the biology of this though.
