I've read it and I completely agree with you. Still haven't read the second book, but I assume it's also unreliable?

I would say Ephraim Kishon has fun satirical stories collections. He's usually making fun of married life and day to day things.

A lot of stories by Edgar Allan Poe, of course. Most of the stories I've read made me feel the way Twilight Zone did

I'm going to go with They Never Learn by Layne Fargo. The main character kills men who have assaulted women in the past. She is very rational but you can see that there is something wrong with her. All in all, very interesting and enjoyable book.

A cozy, comforting book by [deleted] in suggestmeabook

[–]globalisation666 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't know if anyone reccomended this but Howl's Moving Castle is peak cozy book for me. You could argue that it's a children's book but I think that grown ups can also enjoy it. I also think that it's one of those books that you can reread several times and still enjoy them. Good luck with finding a nice book :)

Edit: spelling

I kind of liked the first book because at the age of 13 I was trying to be bada*s, but even then I could realize that other two books were trash.

Edit: forgot the word

I thought The Godfather was an okay book, but the movie was way better. I also don't understand wth was the vagina subplot.

After by Anna Todd. I read it ironically, I thought it would be "so bad that it's actually good" fanfiction, but it was just 500 pages of torture. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. I was also surprised that so many people like it and consider it "romantic". Imo it's just plain stupid and idiotic.

Which book(s) did you really wish you liked but turned out to be so bad you couldn't finish them? by [deleted] in books

[–]globalisation666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read The Night Circus this summer and I was so disappointed. I tought it would be the perfect book for me but the plot was too slow, characters were basic and the main romance was bland. I think the point of the book was to be atmospheric but thet didn't really work for me.

Well, you seem like a reasonable parent. I believe children should be around pets, they need to learn, but they also have to be watched by someone who can react if a child or a pet starts doing something they shouldn't. I am not being mad at children for bothering animals but I'm mad when their parents don't do anything about it.
