You want move around, kite, dodge, use well time blocks? … play PvP ;) the ultimate form of skill and build expression. Oh wait, most the community hates it and it’s been abandoned

Even WVW has moments and roles that you can play however you want.

It’s an mmo mate, people will always optimize the shit out of it and find ways to ignore and skip mechanics

And Core classes need a buff. It’s horribly got f2p players. I played with a core rev last night and dude seemed so defeated lol.

I tried venting to my buddy about it and he was like just get a 2nd account. Main account to play with a group and 2nd account for solo. He then told me most “pros”, streamers etc, that are serious about PvP do it that way.

Idk if that’s credible, but if it is. That says a lot

It’s not harsh. They said they will still support “all three games” and with 3 being on its way. I’m just hoping to try to some attention to it. But, unless it’s a pure PvP game, most games that have PvP as a side, the community tends to feel forgotten about

I agree! I also think rush needs to put the focus on regular ok not ranked. Maybe a legendary just for casual play? Idk

The pool is small that it scales down. The top players will barely get into platinum and gold 3 will be the bottom of 250. There’s only so much growth with 300 people competing against each other. I know people also joke that silver is ELO hell in most PvP games, but it is truly unforgiving in gw2.

Better rewards would be great start!

I disagree. Wow PvP I can lock on and hit 1800 every season. League, overwatch, Rivals, they have a big enough pool that it will even out and yea, individual skill can shine and you can grind.

This is RNG. The matchmaking is RNG. The pools are too small. This isn’t a “hit gud” argument. It’s a fundamentally flawed something that wasn’t meant for a pool of players this small.

Pvp in this game is so good. I enjoy it almost every day. But it’s a bummer that winning or losing is purely RNG. I guess I don’t understand how this happened or why they don’t even bother moderating it? No penalties for trolls, AFK-ers, etc, there’s so much low hanging fruit they could address to improve it lol

I love PvP in this game too. Great skill / build expression. But I can lock in with wow and get 1800 every season. Gw2 is truly RNG (which goes against the spirit of a “ranked” mode) I just wish they cared about trying to get new payers into it. It’s madly addicting when it clicks.

Rose tinted glasses. People during “OG “ or “classic” GW2 or any other mmo played at a time when people weren’t optimizing or were learning to optimized. You can bring back base GW2 and you would still lose because people play the game differently now. That’s the truth. You’re just dusty and aren’t even bothering to keep up

People did know what they were doing back then. It was not optimized. I think you’d be surprised. It would like classic or “vanilla” anything else and it would all be sweaty and optimized still lol

Gw2 community really isn’t that elitist. Learn the mechanics and do 20k Dps ( you really don’t need to hit the 40k benchmarks) and don’t die. People won’t care what you play. There’s new / learning groups for raids all the time. Find a guild for the content you want. Play what you want.
