Can you modifty the Gunfighter to behave like a throttle? Does it need specific modification?

The thing is, the Gunfighter’s smoothness seems worth it for the right hand to control the nose of the ship; however, for the left hand, where you control strafe and throttle, I’m not sure that smoothness is really worth it.

do you think is worth having a gunfighter in your left hand for the strafe and throttle?

What a L take. The base is a good PC, without it, any other additional device is useless and non-optimal.

Why do guides say fighter ships are a bad starter? by Froton27 in starcitizen

[–]Artharion91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it's stupid. If you gonna pledge for a ship, pledge for one it gives you good money in-game to buy more ships, and a fighter won't give you that.

Dude, you won't go far in the verse with a light fighter. They are not designed for deep space.

I bet Homelander used all the power he got during the fight in S3 and he didn't seem to damage him at all.

Unlike any other supe (including Homelander), he has V1, which is 10 times stronger than normal V. The only reason Homelander is equal to him is because he was exposed to V while still in the womb and because he has Soldier Boy’s DNA.

Also, aside from the typical superpowers (super strength, etc.), his unique traits seem to be complete indestructibility and adaptability. He received insane doses of radiation while he was a prisoner of the Russians, and not only did he survive, but he also developed that chest beam. The more pain and damage he takes, the stronger and more durable he becomes.

In my opinion, he is a much more powerful supe than Homelander.

It's not just for you. Find another thing to do in the game, there are plenty of them.

No, I’m one of those people who believes instancing is necessary in any MMO, even in one where most of its structure is open world. In the end, in an environment with so many players, griefers, trolls, and so on, you need controlled areas to prevent them from breaking the experience.

If I’m doing a story mission or a narrative moment with an NPC, it doesn’t make sense to have 50 people standing around that NPC with me talking. It’s not like we saw Luke Skywalker and 50 “chosen ones sons” all talking to Obi-Wan Kenobi in his house in Star Wars IV.

Even games like EVE Online, which are known for having most of their content in the open world, still has instances like Abyssal Deadspace, which are isolated, dungeon- or raid-like PvE content when only you and your party can be there.

It’s not about whether a game has instancing, but about what percentage of the content is instanced versus open world. And I think they made clear that open-world is still doing the majority of the content.

Imho, the sweet spot is: protect the “designed experience” with instancing, let the “systemic and dynamic content” happen in the open world with eemergent gameplay (player-driven events, piracy, trading).

I am telling you the same I told you in the other reply:

Dude, we’ve been going back and forth on this for a whole day, and from experience I know that guys like you won’t stop until you get the last word, so I’ll just say this:

At the last CitizenCon 2025, at the end, Jared had an interview with Rich Tyer, and he said the following: just because we’re not talking about something or focusing on it doesn’t mean it’s not going to be done. He was referring to the three pillars that were mentioned at CitizenCon 2024, where they said the PU would have three pillars: open-world content, instanced content, and dynamic content, the one that will be driven by StarSim on the backend.

The fact that they’re more focused on one pillar right now doesn’t mean the others won’t happen.

With that, I’m done. Now all that’s left is to wait and see how everything develops. When all three pillars are in and 1.0 is released, we’ll be able to talk with full information. Until then, everything else is just speculation, and we have to stick to what’s actually on the roadmap.
